.Bare Bones; Diggin’ Australia

I don’t know why but there’s something about Australian brands that I instantly trust.

When I think of Australian cosmetics I think of pure, clean, natural, organic (I know natural/organic is not always the case) as well as high grade, technological, ethical and sustainable.  Australian brands have cultivated a ‘trust us’  culture and I instantaneously do.  Anytime I get wind of a new brand from down under my ears prick up and I want to know more. For such a small population they produce a lot of fantastic skincare. Maybe it’s because they have to be on top of their game because of the effects of the harsh UV rays that side of the world? or maybe it’s because as a nation they have very strict rules when it comes to certifying natural or organic cosmetics? and/or perhaps it’s because they have a vast array of unpolluted natural resources to discover and cultivate, who knows?  The brands I’ve personally use and love using are INIKA, Jurlique, AHA, Becca, Aesop and Sukin.  But ask any one of my colleagues and they will always have at least one ‘trusted’ reliable Australian product from Kevin Murphy, Grown Alchemist, Lucas Papaw, Lanolips to Evo.

Lanolips  The molecular structure of lanolin mimics human skin lipids, making it the most skin-compatible ingredient around. More so than any other natural or synthetic ingredient in skincare.
Slip Pure Silk Pillowcase In laboratory testing slipsilk™ was shown to absorb significantly less face cream and create 43% less friction or ‘drag,’ on average, versus cotton pillowcases,* helping your face glide along the pillowcase all night long.
Jurlique was born in the unspoiled hills of South Australia, not a laboratory. It is the only place on earth where our concentrated ingredients could originate.
