SERET is the London Israeli film festival being held this June at cinemas across the city. Created thanks to the vision of three Israeli women, SERET features the best film and television productions from the country and brings these quality dramas, comedies, shorts and TV series to the London venues as well as gala events, Q&As and UK premieres.

Filmmakers presenting their works during SERET are not afraid of touching sensitive and controversial subjects such as perspectives on old and young people living in Israel, relations between Palestinians and Israelis, gay/lesbian relationships and rejecting religious orthodoxy. As a result, the festival’s programme is an interesting mixture of different points of view that provide SERET goers a full image of contemporary Israel – the country of many contrasts.
