Christopher Kane’s  Resort 2015 is a fun an eclectic mix of fabric and print experimentation. Kane reveals that his inspiration came in the form of two of his signature looks, neon and leopard print. He noted that both are preoccupations he has had since he completed his MA collection, he also reveals that he thinks of neon as a ‘palate cleanser ‘and a good base when he bores of other colours.

Neon is used with great effect, Neon yellow, green and pink contrast against black. An underwear as outerwear motif frequently reoccurs, tulle and transparent fabrics reveal lace bra tops or bra cups are placed on the outside of garments along with  lace trims, exposed shoulders and suspended straps.  Detail doesn’t go unnoticed in daisy clasp fastenings and 3D bolster-style edging.

One of the many things Kane excels at is fabric experimentation and this collection has a plethora of fabrics at play,  layered and structured neon tulle,  pleats and  godets on sleeves, broderie anglaise and embossed, printed leopard leather leopard jacquard knits and silk satins complete this technically clever collection.
