Now it might seem a little too early to be thinking about Christmas, New Year’s celebrations, and all the preparation for holiday festivities, but surely the idea of drinking a glass or two of bubbly any time of the year is perfectly right?

Especially for any of our wine and champagne connoisseurs out there!

If you’re finally going to a Champagne harvest for the first time, then why not indulge in the charming and glamorous Maisons of Veuve Clicquot and Moet & Chandon, who are opening their magical doors exclusively for the first time in light of Clos19’s annual Harvest Celebration Weekend from the 14th – 16th of September 2018.

With a trip to the Champagne Region in France, the promise of a firsthand experience of champenoise during harvest time provides an opportunity at the Veuve Clicquot vineyards to fully learn the importance and process of harvesting the grapes that make your favourite bottle of fizz. Guests are welcome to give a helping hand by handpicking grapes the traditional way, with secateurs and baskets at hand, followed by a visit to the pressing rooms, as well as cellars of these iconic Maisons where the grapes are transformed into that sparkling grape alcoholic beverage as we know it. But of course, would it really be a Champagne Harvest trip if guests weren’t toured and given a tasting session at the Veuve Clicquot Maison cellars? Well worry not, for lunch is provided, as per the rustic harvest lunch that has been typical of the vineyards paired with Veuve Clicquot vintages from the past 20 years.

The trip comes to a close with a reception at Moët & Chandon’s Orangery French garden designed by Jean-Remy Moët in 1805, where guests are sure to be given private tours of the cellars and a celebratory dinner at the Orangery, where the menu is crafted by Executive Chef Marco Fadiga…And if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, the festivities begin with Ruinart Champagne Winemaking hosting an informal welcome for all, enjoying a cocktail in hand and some light bites at the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa where guests will enjoy their 2-night stay.
