He’s the white flower Man!

We have mentioned the perfumer Tom Daxon to you before The man that at just 27 founded his eponymous perfume brand, Tom Daxon.  To be fair he does has an amazing pedigree, as  his mother was  creative director of the UK cosmetics firm Molton Brown.

His collection now consists of ten fragrances, five body lotions, nine shower gels and three candles.  So what makes this all worth mentioning?  Well for someone so young there is an elegance about not just what he does or the way he presents his line but a sophistication, not expected from one so young.  But moist of all there is an unusual factor in that there is a wonderful consistency across all the products.  It seems whichever combination of scents the man combines there is always a feeling that is a very Tom Daxon scent.

If you have yet to try any then do, but it may be nice to start with the newest launch the White Narcissus Candle.   A  soft floral aroma of the narcissus flower combined with hyacinth and green violet leaf evokes winter’s bouquet.  It has a soft fresh appeal which you will see more of over the coming years..florals treated very differently.  Not the girly powdery smell so associated with flowers but a fresh green edge to it.

Top notes: Galbanum, Green Violet Leaf, Cardamom

Heart notes: Narcissus, Hyacinth

Base notes: Vetiver, GaiacWood, Cedarwood

Oh and if you haven’t watched it really try to take the time to watch the film Black Narcissus a classic  film from tow of the greta of British screen Powell and Pressburger….may be you could burn a white narcissus candle while watching!
