What do we mean when we talk of a ‘spirit’? no not brandy et al but a fleeting moment, a waft of scent or do you mean something that catches the very heart, the very essence of a person a place a moment.

If so then The Spirit of Dubai certainly does that;  the perfume collection is no mere waft, its a solid collection of deeply immersive fragrances that celebrate the very essence of the city of Dubai.  They are also celebrating the opening of their London store in Knightsbridge with the London flagship boutique designed to give the customer an immersive experience with each of the brand’s fragrances.

The brand, originally  launched in Dubai in 2015 and has 49 products in the collections which break down into two collections and ancillary lines and  prides itself on manufacturing incense and fragrance of the highest quality with the fragrances  also available in the form of pure oil perfumes, bakhoor incense, ultra luxe-perfumed body lotions and elegant gift sets.

The first collection of seven fragrances is available as Eau de Parfum  all of which pay tribute to the seven elements of Dubai from the sea to the desert and architecture.

Although all the fragrances are inspired by Dubai the brand is designed to have an international flavour so it will appeal to all tastes but it is fair to say these are not shy retiring fragrances but scents that want to be noticed, full bodied ripe and rich yet steeped in the middle eastern tradition of perfumery.  However should you want to delve deeper in this succulent heritage then the second generation may well be more for you.  The same inspiration but having dug further for more complex explorations of the city.
