.Juxtaposed: Listen & Decrypt – Velour Modular with “Forward”

Velour Modular

If you’re looking for the right tunes before the wave of Christmas songs begins, then perk up your ears for the fine tunes of new collaboration band Velour Modular, featuring French songstress Guilhem and Spanish producer Hektagon. The duo breathes new life into electronic music with bubbly synth-pop elements and an addictive voice.

Velour Modular have already released their first EP titled “Capsule” (out now on iTunes – find link below) and have quite the unique formation story: Before the friends decided to join forces, Guilhem went on a journey to feed her creative spirit before she finally returned to France. After a late-night Skype session the duo called Velour Modular into existence and track “Forward”, also found on the new EP, made its way online.

It was really important for us to construct a real storytelling: we were focused on doing a kind of “black box” that could testify of a lost world.

Velour Modular

Those of you, who love to decipher and decrypt, should take a careful listen to the lyrics – cause the texts of Velour Modular’s songs are packed with references and secrets, each of them waiting to be found. Yet another reason why this is not the usual electronic sound you get; “Capsule”, just like title track “Forward”, is more than simple beats – this is real storytelling with a brilliant tune accompanying the listener.

Guess what – Velour Modular also present their very first music video!
