Girls weekend: Planning the ultimate getaway that everyone will enjoy

You’re heading to London with the girls for a weekend exploring a fantastic city that’s famous for Charlotte Tilbury, The Queen and Kate Moss. Exciting, right!? But, with so much on offer, planning the perfect girly getaway can be a bit overwhelming. Here’s some helpful suggestions of things to do with the girls in London that everyone will enjoy.

Hitting the high street should be at the top of the list for every girly weekend, even if it’s just to gaze at Liberty’s windows or get lost in a maze of designer fabrics in Selfridges or Harrods. In London you’ll find all things beauty and fashion with Oxford Street famously at the heart of it all. Oxford Street stretches from Marble Arch to Tottenham Court Road and is a huge 1.2 miles of designer boutiques, high-street shops and department stores; it’s a fashion paradise.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, but to make your girl’s weekend extra special, head to Sketch London. Just round the corner from Liberty, retreat to The Gallery room for afternoon tea or dinner and an array of cocktails and drinks. All are created to match the avant-garde interior with artist, David Shrigley’s, illustrations on the wall, dressed up in a shade of pink.

Now you’ve found your cosmopolitan vibe with a day full of fashion, food and art, continue feeling chic and participate in one of London’s most popular pastimes – the theater. Just a short tube ride away, head to the West End for a huge selection of musicals, comedies, dramas and Broadway hits. It’s one of the best ways to end an evening as you’re bound to find a show you all enjoy.

It’s day two of your girls getaway, and as the Saturday was full of fun and activities, it may be time to relax. London has many world class spas that you and the girls can unwind in with a treatment and a glass or two of Prosecco. Spend the day enjoying various treatments, lounging around in robes and catching up on all the stuff you wish you had more time in for on a day to day basis, remembering to take a break for lunch.

With the sun setting, it’s time to take in the view and reflect on the fabulous weekend spent with the girls. One of the best ways to do this is in style, at the highest outdoor dining terrace in Europe, SushiSamba. Located on the 38th and 39th floor of The Heron Tower, ride the glass lift all the way to the top to take in the 360 degree views of London’s scaling landscape and enjoy cocktails during sunset.

With lots to see and do, you can see why London is a perfect place for the ultimate girly getaway. So stick on those comfortable pumps and hop on the underground to explore all the glamour of London’s cosmopolitan streets.
