.Mirror: Going for Gold with Dolce & Gabbana
Today sees the launch of Dolce & Gabbana Skincare lines Essential and Aurealux, exclusively into Harrods – an extension of the existing high end beauty and fragrance line currently offered by the Italian duo.
They’ve really gone for gold this time not only with their signature gold tone packaging, but by fine-tuning and using an exclusive new complex in the core ingredients; the Gold Flavo-Silk Tricomplex, which features Gold Silk Sericin – a mix of amino acids and poly-peptides known for preserving life as well as evening out the skin tone, skin smoothing and plumping. Vitamin B3 and Italian Olive oil are also key in the ingredient line up.
Dr Samantha Bunting, dermatologist at P&G Prestige Labs (who partnered with Dolce & Gabbana) said; “There’s an elegance to how the products have been formulated; the textures are fantastic, it has plausible and realistic claims and it’s a comprehensive and cohesive line. The amount of in-vitro and in-vivo tests, random assessments and blind trials that they’ve done are staggering.”
Whilst the duo has delighted each season in sending gorgeous, smooth skinned, healthy looking goddesses down the runway for us to admire, never before have we been able to so easily recreate that radiant dewy glow of the models (unless you’ve Pat McGrath in your wardrobe) so we’re a tad excited to now get our hands on the exact ingredients used by the experts and do the same for ourselves.
The Essential range contains Cleansing Gel, Cleansing Milk, Cleansing Oil, Cleansing Water, Eye Make Up Remover, Exfoliator, Toner and UV Cream, whilst the Aurealux line is aimed at a more advanced level offering a Cream, Serum, Essence, Eye Gel and Mask.
Domenico Dolce told us that the “Dolce & Gabbana Skincare line is founded in one simple truth: beautiful skin, full of life, has the power to captivate others,” and we think he’s right. See you at the counters!
