People tend to borrow and take ideas, story lines, and even characters from past pieces of work. As one of the most famous writers of all time, Shakespeare’s work has been mirrored in other writer’s pieces for centuries. Ever since the 1600s, creators have been using Shakespeare’s work to influence movies, music, and books.

Here are two pieces of literature that mirror the ideas of Shakespeare’s writing, The Tempest.

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley borrows from The Tempest.
Brave New Girl by Louisa Luna borrows from The Tempest and Brave New World.
