French fragrance house Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris are set to release not one, but two special fragrances, available from September 1st. Sold to be as part of a pair, Petit Matin & Grand Soir… the lights of Paris are wonderful day to night transitional scents. Intimate and personal fragrances to Frances Kurkdjian himself, he expresses how these are deeply reminiscent of his memories and experiences, and the deep passion behind their creation can be heard in his words;

“The freshness of an early morning. The radiance of a grand evening. I live o the rhythms of this enchanting and luminous Paris. I love these unique moments. They have inspired me the creation of this duo of fragrances, to be worn and experienced like an olfactory escapade in the heart of the City of Light.”

Petit Matin creates a fresh early morning atmosphere with litsea cubeba from Indonesia and lemon from Calabria, laced with the floral softness of hawthorn and lavandin. Picture a sleepy Paris and wandering through the empty streets, or drinking a coffee on the terrace as first light of day touches the tops of the buildings, with the excitement of the day ahead of you. Musky and amber notes finish off the daytime fragrance, moving on to the grand night scent. Soft vanilla and tonka bean are mixed with cysts labdanum, creating a warm and delicious evening fragrance. Designed with the desire of a big, extravagant night, dressed to the nines and shining like the stars. An indulgent and pleasurable fragrance full of the energy and vibrations of the City of Light.

These aren’t the first duos released but Kurkdjian and their wonderful characteristics keep them so charming and wonderful, it’s hopefully not the last.

Boutique perfumery Shay & Blue have also announced the latest addition to their collection, Blueberry Musk, a sensual white floral fragrance welcomed to and inspired by the classic floral fragrance family.

The enchanting fragrance is a sensual mix of blueberry and orange blossom, magnolia and cashmere woods. The scent entices with sparkling top notes of blueberries and orange zest with orange blossom and magnolia adding warmth to the composition. White musk and cashmere woods add to the scent bringing it to a refined finish. The fragrance is matured in vats for three months before hand-filling the signature smoky blue bottles.
