News: Vintage Glasgow Merchant City Festival 26-27th July

The Vintage Festival is returning to Glasgow this 26-27th July for part of Festival 2014, a massive Commonwealth Games time celebration in Glasgow running alongside the sporting action, transforming the city from 19 July to 3 August with an invigorating mix of entertainment, culture and enjoyment filling the streets, spaces and stages of Glasgow.

Vintage will take place in the streets and evocative venues across the Merchant City on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July, the first weekend of the Games. Vintage Festival will reach out to embrace and rejoice in vintage music, arts and culture from across the Commonwealth. Featuring… the Vintage Marketplace, Bygone Photo Booth, Ruby Flowers, the Kennedy Cupcakes, and the Vintage Hair & Beauty Salon

Events include:

Charleston Brunch on Saturday 26th July from 11am-1pm at the Wild Cabaret

Let It Rock on Saturday 26th July from 3pm-12 am at the Wild Cabaret

The Old Fruit Market on Saturday 26th July from 9pm-3am at the Soul Casino

The World Record Holders at Vintage Spins the Commonwealth on Saturday 26th-27th from 12pm-8pm at Merchant Square

From Peabody to Jitterbug on Sunday 27th July from 12pm-4pm at the Wild Cabaret

The Devil’s Music on Sunday 27th July from 7pm-2am at the Wild Cabaret

Torch Club on Sunday 27th July from 8pm-1am at the Old Fruit Market
