Spoken word song has had a difficult life. Even the hugely popular punk-poet-laureate John Cooper Clarke had trouble arousing support for his records. But, none of this can take anything away from the thoughtful and engaging lines of Guy Sangster-Adams. Guy released his debut EP ‘To the Fore’ in 2015, which was accompanied musically by multi-instrumentalist Alexander Mayor.

This Friday, May 26, Guy Sangster-Adams and Alexander Mayor will be performing new tracks at The Tin Tabernacle, Kilburn. The evening will also feature guests such as Mike Nisbet and Delisia & Chris Price and it will be hosted by Delisia Howard and Chris Price. Even the building that houses the event is of special architectural importance. Built in 1863 as a makeshift church, the interior was transformed in the 1950s to resemble a boat and is now Grade II listed.
