Under a project title of ‘Mnemonic City‘, Magma Collective is presenting the ‘Moving Streets’ exhibition at Doomed Gallery, which explores the history and memory of the Ridley Road Market in the suburbs of the British capital. The exhibition features both pieces and performances, the inspiration of which stems from a series of walks and meetings by Magma artists in and around the distinctive market place in Dalston. The vibrant East London locale is the heart of the subject matter in question in the exhibition, as artists illustrate their immediate perception and emotional responses that examines the concept of the place, its cultural difference, existence and preservation value.
