UTILITY: Back to vinyl

By Jo Phillips

8 years ago more than 700 independent record stores in The United States decided to honour the richness and wealth of the culture they have generated by designating the 18th of April as the Record Store Day. As a tribute to music, art and independent culture, record stores come together and celebrate not only with special music events, performances and meet and greets’, but also unique record releases specially for this day.

Musicians, DJs, artists and store owners across the U.K. also follow this tradition and this coming Saturday 18th celebrate Record Store Day, with many special events happening across the country.
