Bold: J.W Anderson Gets Snappy
By Jo Phillips
Just in time for London Collections: Men, J.W Anderson whips out another exciting collaboration, this time venturing into the world of photography for the Nikon 1 camera system. Previously creating quirky designs of tartan and zebra for Topshop, the LCF graduate has produced small and sleek camera bags in leather, available in four exclusive colours and featuring his trademark JW logo.
“Photography is just as much of an art form as fashion, so the partnership made complete sense to me”
Photography is an integral part of the fashion world, with Anderson stating that he takes thousands of pictures a day for design inspiration. Wanting something practical and accessible, the Irish born designer sticks to his genius ways in creating something ultimately gender neutral.
“I have always ensured my designs are accessible for everyone, just as photography is”
The bag combines influences of 1940s leather camera bags with modern, cutting edge design, intrinsic to the speedy and portable Nikon1 range.
We have a feeling that these bags won’t just be used for holding cameras. With Anderson’s influence, the fashion pack (boys and girls alike) will have their paws all over them.
The launch of the collaboration will coincide with J. W. Anderson’s Spring / Summer Collection 2014 at London Collections: Men on Monday 17thJune 2013. Hurry as only 400 are available!
