Christmas time is approaching, this time of love, family, and sharing good times and great gifts.
Celebrating practicality, festivity, tradition, and innovation, the FENDI Women’s and Men’s collections for Winter Holiday 2024 draw inspiration from both the centenary of 2025 and the brand’s rich history. FENDI, a House-passed down through the matriarchal line, remains focused on women who do, not just exist.
Rooted in the brand’s history of luxurious outerwear and leather goods, the Winter Holiday collections embrace practical yet elegant designs. Sportswear is reimagined with a nod to tradition, while men’s garments are adapted for women and 1960s skiwear influences emerge. Eveningwear and accessories add a touch of celebratory sparkle. The collection merges utility with elegance, offering pieces that transcend fashion—objects to be passed down through generations and made for life.
Inspired by the centenary of 2025, this Winter Holiday collection heightens a celebratory sense of heritage and craftsmanship. Once again, utility is fused with celebration, as the accessories embody the idea of the wearer making a mark through action rather than mere presence. At the same time, these pieces allow for fun and glamour, ensuring the wearer can enjoy both style and purpose with FENDI.
The Winter Holiday collection for men features the FENDI Tartan, created in collaboration with Prickly Thistle and woven in Scotland. A symbol of pride and identity, FENDI Tartan has been officially registered with The Scottish Register of Tartans. Technical FENDI logo fabric appears in puffer jackets, while a varsity logo adds a nostalgic touch. However, it is the artisanal classics—luxurious shearling and shaved fur coats—that define the outerwear. Inspired by food-themed bag charms, ‘Fendilicious’ fast-food motifs add a playful element with leather patches. Gossamer Lurex knits offer a celebratory eveningwear option, paired with twill wool suiting scattered with micro-paillettes like fairy dust.
For Pre-Fall 25, Erdem draws inspiration from British contemporary artist Kaye Donachie in the designer’s first artist collaboration. Donachie’s hand-drawn motifs are incorporated through overprinting techniques and couture-like hand embroidery. Silhouettes are sculptural and voluminous, blending modernity with relaxed draping and workwear-inspired details.
The Bloom bag is reimagined in a new silhouette, offering both versatility and elegance. A contrast emerges between a skeletal cotton tulle gown covered in organza flowers and a hand-embroidered crushed satin strapless design, reflecting Donachie’s painterly style. Distinctive square drapes reference peeling canvas edges, creating a raw, unfinished aesthetic that is both timeless and modern. The collection serves as a physical canvas for Donachie’s work, celebrating the intersection of art and fashion.
Louis Vuitton is excited to announce the opening of a major new temporary store at 6 E. 57th Street, NYC, which will feature the American debut of a Louis Vuitton café, chocolate shop, and a new global culinary concept, alongside an exclusive capsule collection of keepsakes. This will be the largest Louis Vuitton space in the United States, designed to go beyond retail and embody the House of Culture that the brand represents today. Since beginning to sell products in the U.S. in 1898, Louis Vuitton has built a deep connection with New York, where French art de vivre has been continually reinterpreted with local influence. The brand’s first independent New York store opened in 1980 on 57th Street, solidified Louis Vuitton as a key shopping destination.
Located in a landmark Art Deco building with a rich retail history, the store’s exterior and floorplan remain unchanged, but the experience is elevated by a monumental installation. The entryway leads into a soaring atrium, with freestanding sculptures created in collaboration with Shohei Shigematsu of OMA, the New York-based partner of the renowned architectural firm. Shigematsu was also responsible for an immersive exhibition celebrating the brand’s history in Bangkok earlier this year.
Louis Vuitton unveils the Neverfull Inside Out, a reversible twist on an iconic bag. The Neverfull is a bag that represents the versatility and timeless design of Louis Vuitton, combining style with practicality. A staple for 17 years, Neverfull has become a recognisable tote with a playfully memorable name. In this latest iteration, the beloved bag has been reinvented as fully reversible, demonstrating that Neverfull is far from static.
