Tie Me Honey
By Jo Phillips
Sinful sister is a new scarf company that has recently been set .
Susan behind the brand tells us
“The scarves came about after a find of some 1940s/50s pulp fiction books at an Oxfam store with fabulous covers and the coolest titles so I decided to use them to make a scarf that I myself would like to wear.
I put them together as a collage and re-coloured and manipulated the images on the computer, mixing artwork and type together.
It is the phrases which are the thing people seem to love. Such as ‘The devil is a woman’ and ‘sin on wheels ‘ The artwork is such that it can be read in any direction when worn.
They are 100% silk satin or crepe de chine and printed in the U.K.
She will be adding to the collection of retro designs too
“I am also working on some cushions with a pulp fiction space theme these have been worked on with my iPad Pro using some of the special effects available. They will be printed on Matt short pile velvet, again printed in the U.K. and made by myself
