Full of Mother Earth
By Catarina Figueiredo Soares
Imagine growing up in the rolling fields and hillsides of the Italian island of Sicily. Think of gnarly age-old olive trees, sharp lemons and an abundance of natural foods growing in the land powered by the sun. There is nothing ‘small’ about the nature on this golden island. For one such lucky lady this was her life and this inspiration took her to explore not just health and wellness but how that works with our skincare. Meet Irene Forte the founder, leader and driving force behind Irene Forte Skincare, here in Full of Mother Earth.
Starting out her professional work as a Wellness Consultant of Rocco Forte Hotels and an Advisory Board Member of the Global Wellness Summit, Irene Forte always understood the importance of a holistic approach to beauty. And as we now understand whole is better than part, in what we do and of course what we eat. From this working point she started her own highly regarded skincare line, one that celebrates all of nature from her own locality.
Reflected in her emphasis on nourishing organic ingredients, as well as gaining valuable business know how from a family with entrepreneurial spirit. She sees her skincare company as part of a much wider system of people and organisations, nature and the environment; and she personally commits to doing the ‘right things’ to ensure that her products and processes are as sustainable as possible.
The brand sources their main ingredients from their own organic farm in Sicily. In the orchards there are olive trees, lemon trees, ripe fruit, orange trees, pomegranates, almonds, prickly pear cacti and lines of healthy vegetables and beautiful botanicals. The quality and freshness of the ingredients is unparalleled in cosmetic beauty since they take advantage of the seasons as they change, and they cultivate free from chemical interference. Just in the way we hear about eating seasonally to get the most from ingredients she does the same with her potions.
Irene Forte is an Italian skincare brand with ingredients in the products that are vegan and grown on the organic farm at Verdura Resort in Sicily. To translate the brand’s ethicality and sustainability they offer packaging with boxes made out of paper 100% recyclable fibres and only vegetable ink. Besides all these great steps to a greener planet, Irene Rocha has expanded into 12 spas and 31 retailers.
The vision is ‘Natura e Scienza’ (nature and science). Irene Forte offers products for the body, face, and also refillable ones. From cleansers to scrubs and masks, the range of products is vast and scientifically proven to be efficient. The best sellers include almost a list of ingredients that you might use as skincare but also to eat. It includes the Hibiscus Serum, Pistachio Face Mask and Rose Face Oil.
The Hibiscus Serum reduces fine lines and wrinkles, hydrates and plumps the skin while also protecting it. To brighten, hydrate and boosting the skin with vitamins the Rose Face Oil will help to also being antioxidant rich. Adding another step to your skincare routine, the Pistachio Face Mask will hydrate the skin over 12 hours and plump it. It is also rich in skin-enhancing nutrients and antioxidants.
To step up your skincare routine this new product Hibiscus Night Cream might be just what you were missing. To reverse the signs of skin ageing they discovered Myoxinol that is extracted from Hibiscus Seeds. This made it possible for the cream to be nourishing, rejuvenate the skin’s moisture barrier and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
“Irene Forte Skincare’s Hibiscus Night Cream had some of, if not, the best results we have ever seen.”
CEO Stuart Long (also President of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists).
