Linear: Troker – Hip Hop meets Jazz
By Pascal Ebner
This weekend London is going to be even more exciting:
Troker, six-piece band from Guadalajara, are going to play for the very first time in the British capital. By combining two completely unique genres, these Mexican musicians have already surprised their new fans at the Glastonbury Festival and are climbing the ladder of success in North and South America as well.
Although Troker prefer to play live, because of their amazing shows and the intoxicating vibe they spread, their songs are just as entertaining while listening to them at home or when you’re out and about. Besides their musical dedication, the band has extended their work to the fields of social service, education and most recently creating music for the very first Mexican silent movie.
In “The Grey Automobile” (released 1919) Troker are faced with the challenge of composing music for 117 minutes of movie material and creating the perfect atmosphere for the audience. Fans, or those who are curious, should check out their London gig, where the band is going to present the music written for this Mexican classic!
