“We couldn’t think of a better way to mark the success we have had at Market Place over the last two years; a story that began with one venue in Peckham, now expanded into four sites across the city with more on the way. We look forward to what the future has in store for us!”

James Daniel May is an English television presenter and journalist. He is best known as a co-presenter, of the motoring programme Top Gear from 2003 until 2015. He has also appeared in programmes about wine in France and California, as well as some travel shows. The brand describes its gin as
‘Small batch gin created by two men in a cold shed in Wiltshire‘
There are three styles in the collection, Asian Parsnip , its taste profile is described by the brand as
‘Parsnip, a humble vegetable valued by Romans was used historically as a sweetener and has a uniquely nutty profile. Combined with spices of the Far East – ginger and green cardamom – Asian Parsnip is a warming gin with lingering light sweet notes’.
There is also a Asian Parsnip Navy Strength and London Drizzle with a set of tasting notes,
‘beetroot with lovage, bay, orange, and ginger to create a gin with light notes alongside earthy tones that give an almost umami quality to the gin’
and in the three pack is also a American Mustard Gin.
This week-long partnership comes as Market Place Vauxhall celebrates two years at this location. The gin-ormous event will also feature an exclusive Q&A with James May about all things James Gin.
When asked why James decided to create a gin he simply stated that
