Lush; Introducing Coach for Men
By Jo Phillips
Once just a men’s leather brand, Coach has since evolved into an iconic, international fashion house known worldwide. The brand was founded in New York City in 1941, and 76 years later, their values of quality and authenticity have remained the same. Coach has introduced a new fragrance inspired by their New York City and American roots- Coach For Men. Similar to their original leather items, this fragrance is an everyday luxury that is built to last. It embodies Coach’s roots in the best way possible. Coach For Men begins with a crisp top note of green Nashi pear, bergamot, and kumquat. The heart of the fragrance is a warm yet spicy burst of cardamon and coriander as well as a sweet touch of geranium. The scent’s base is vetiver, which gives it an earthy, woody smell, along with subtle, musky hints of suede and ambergris. The bottle visually tells the story of Coach’s brand. The glass bottle’s midnight blue degrade is a reference to their rich, authentically American heritage. The bottle is topped with a gun-metal spray cap shaped like a turnlock to resemble the signature clasp on Coach Bags which the company’s first creative director introduced in 1954. Coach’s iconic image of a horse and carriage is embossed on the front. The picture is a symbol of craftsmanship and a tribute to the tradition of leather craftsmen and harness makers in New York. A hangtag that resembles those that have been placed on every Coach bag since the 70’s dangles to the side. Coach For Men will be available nationwide starting September 12th, 2017.
