Beauty journalist Anna-Marie Solowij and brand creative Millie Kendall MBE are founders of BeautyMART. They were invited to join .Cent’s Breaking Boundaries Directory by makeup artist Eli Wakamatsu.

For the June edition of .Cent’s Breaking Boundaries newsletter, they told us who they consider to be an innovator working within their field.

‘Sam McKnight is a true innovator in terms of his work as a session hairdresser and visual impact on style,’ they answered. ‘For business we would say Marcia Kilgore who has developed some amazing brands and products and is a true innovator and market leader, and Pat McGrath for breaking all the make up rules and still making it look beautiful.’

‘In terms of our industry in general we would have to nominate Mary Quant & Vidal Sassoon for opening the doors for British Beauty and Fashion to thrive and become viable exports.’
