Inspiring future generations to carry forward the legacy of imperishable yet slow fashion maybe the greatest gift to this industry.
The Taipei Fashion Week AW22 edition is gateway into an alternative reality that practices “Reuse, Redesign and Reduce”. The latest FW22 edition fashion show took place on 24th March 2022 in Taipei, Taiwan. Each collaborated with a specialist Taiwanese textile mill to present a collection with sustainability & fabric innovation in focus. The designs and colors are an echo of casual yet unique pieces that anyone can carry with grace and style.
This season was represented by six Taiwanese fashion brands – C JEAN, DYCTEAM, UUIN, oqLiq, TSUNG YU CHAN, WEAVISM.
Each collaborated with a specialist Taiwanese textile mill to present a collection with sustainability & fabric innovation in focus.
The designs and colours are an echo of casual yet unique pieces that anyone can carry with grace and style.
While, there were several other brands that also participated in the event; Claudia Wang, AISH, oqLiq, Gioia Pan, #Damur, Seivson, Yentity, ProjectbyH, INF, Daniel Wong and Liyu Tsai.
Textile development has always been a backbone for the Taiwan since the past 20 years. Taiwan’s unique sustainable development has enabled local designers to challenge the concept of mass-produced fashion with their own creations.
Conveying the idea of slow fashion similar to the blooming of nature, developing passively yet elegantly. Taipei fashion week offered a platform for young designers to showcase and portray the importance of advocating innovative yet sustainable, timeless pieces.
As designers remain committed to keep re-inventing fashion, this art will keep inspiring the world to be a better place.
