VAMP: Snow What’s on the Big Screen?
By Shannon Brien
With ice rinks across London melting and this dazzling city experiencing unseasonable warmth, it doesn’t look likely that we will get a white Christmas…Unless you catch your favourite festive film at Cinema in the Snow from the fabulous people at Pop Up Screens.
Notting Hill’s 20th Century Theatre will be transformed into a snow covered cinema that will make guests feel they are ‘walking in a winter wonderland’. Not only will the snow covered Christmas Tree be the shining centrepiece that brings on your season’s cheer, there’ll also be festive and cinematic favourites like hot chocolates, mulled wine and popcorn.
“I can’t wait for the Christmas screenings, I’ve been planning them since mid August and this year it’s going to be really special. This will be our fourth year we’ve done some festive Christmas screenings and every year we make it bigger and better and this year it’s no different; we’ve more snow, more movies, more mulled wine! I can’t wait to play in the snow and coax disbelieving people through a wardrobe”, says Pop Up Screens founder David Leydon.
There are three screenings a day until 23rd December showing all the classics such as Home Alone, Elf, Love Actually and some not so family friendly like Bad Santa and Mean Girls.
