Viking Spirit

For every period of history, there are those that conquer, it is the human spirit to do so, to sail out to other lands and stamp an impression or even colonise. It is as old as history itself and it is part of what makes up almost every country in the world. Vikings were certainly one of the early civilizations that lived this experience. The Vikings were fierce warriors that crossed oceans via Longships and conquered many parts of the world, seafaring Norse people from southern Scandinavia (present-day Denmark, Norway and Sweden) who from the late 8th to late 11th centuries raided, pirated, traded and settled throughout parts of Europe.

Known for their fearless spirit they were celebrated in 2017 with a fragrance, Viking by Creed.  Now comes the cologne version, just out.

In contrast to the original Viking, a bold and fiery masculine masterpiece, this is its cooler counterpart. A fresh, bright, energetic version celebrating the modern interpretation of a Viking explorer who crosses wild terrains finding new adventures.

Opening at the top with  bright fresh fascets of Bergamot, Lemon, and Mandarin citrus notes, with warm light spice of Pink Pepper 

The heart opens with herbaceous, warm green Geranium, with its citrus and fruity accents find a hint of the spice of Nutmeg alongside Lavender, Rosemary and Sage highlighting its fougère signature.

It settles in its base with  Sandalwood; floral, rich, balsamic, soft, and sweet wood, then find aromatic earthy Frankincense, dry grass-like vetiver Patchouli and Cedarwood.

A classic in its category, fougère means ‘fern-like in French and describes one of the main fragrance families. Invariably they feature lavender, geranium, vetiver, bergamot, oakmoss and coumarin in the blend.

Originally these were created for women but are now seen as much more of a men’s scent but can just as easily be worn by females. This particular fragrance has all the hallmarks of the classic fougères of the past yet it brings with it, modernity, making it the perfect 2021 s/s perfume.
