Webbed; Face Me
By Jo Phillips
I’ve grown in to loving face cloths but as I start to write this I wonder if it’s the actual cloth or the cleansers that they accompany that I truly like?
My first cloth was with Liz Earle’s hot cloth cleanser. I remember liking the way my skin felt really clean after using and didn’t feel tight or stripped of its natural goodness, so maybe it’s a bit of both, cloth and cleanser?
I own about twenty-four cloths of different textures; thickness; double sided; organic cotton; and so on…who knew they come in so many different variations.
As a Beauty Therapy trained and Make-up Artist I’m very conscious of hygiene so irrespective of a few brands suggesting to hand rinse out and use the next day – it’s so not clean especially if you have an acne or a pimple prone skin. If you think about it you do want to leave a damp cloth hanging around in a warm bathroom to then use on your face the following day. Mine go in the washing machine on a ninety degrees wash. Over time they may no longer be bright white as when you first got them but at least you know they’re clean. Whether your new to muslin cloths or a seasoned user invest in at least ten and just keep adding to your collection, you can never have too many.
Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm. You know where you stand with Balance Me, it says so on the tube…100% natural.

Pestle & Mortar Erase and Renew Double Cleanse System. My first venture into double cleansing and I love it! I thought my skin might be left feeling stripped and taught but no, these cleansers and 100% cotton cloth really work well together – remove the balm with the fluffier side of the cloth and then the gel with the finer muslin side.
