Pure: The World of Skincare
By Jo Phillips
Today more than ever we are bombarded with information regarding how to cleanse, tone and moister our skin. We are told to moisturise and to protect ourselves from free radicals; that skin creams can take away the dirt and grit of living in grimy cities, can make our skin look younger and have firmer complexion. There is a plethora of information, a jungle of confusing scientific terms. How many of us really understand what these mean? Let alone know what we are putting on our skin?
We have decided at .Cent to do quite an extensive research and delve beyond the tricky boasts from brands and see what is really available. Not just that we explain what all these terms actually mean, we also have results of nearly two months of trails. Read below to find out what we thought of regimes, from totally natural to scientifically produced products and even some created by skincare doctors. No stone was unturned; And to make it all make actual sense, we have created a skincare dictionary. You can read the whole post while each product has a breakdown of what is in it and is linked to the dictionary for you to click through whilst reading and find out what is really going on. One thing that shows up right from the start, with almost every person involved, is that having a skin care regime really does matter and really does make a difference. We want you to feel empowered by this so without further ado, let’s bring some light into the dark!
OMOROVICZA– Catarina Wilk, 23, Combination Skin
With more than 2,000 years of expertise, Omorovicza is based on the mineral-rich healing waters found in Budapest’s thermal spas. Whilst the brand’s main approach is to deliver nutrient rich minerals to the skin, all of their skincare products are made without parabens, PEG’s, silicones, Sodium Laureth Sulfates, synthetic colours and fragrances as well as animal ingredients; just to mention a few.
Bearing all these information in mind, I was very excited to try Omorovicza’s products range including The Queen of Hungary Mist, the Rose Lifting Serum, the Intensive Hydra-Lifting Cream, the Miracle Facial Oil and the newly released Ultramoor Mud Mask that we have kindly received to test out throughout the month.
Going from light to intense in terms of texture, this skincare routine is especially composed and suitable for those who want to treat and fight the signs of aging skin and its specific skin concerns and needs.
Starting off with The Queen of Hungary Mist, which is meant to be used as a toner after cleansing or even as a quick pick-me-up throughout the day to get this extra little bit of hydration that your skin demands. The facial mist itself comes in a handy bottle with a spray dispenser which makes it extremely convenient (no cotton pads needed!) and very easy to use. According to Omorovicza ,the fine mist is meant to even and refine the skin tone for a more radiant overall complexion. After using a couple of spritzes of this luxurious and delightfully scented toner, the skin feels instantly refreshed, hydrated and reveals its hidden glow while also being perfectly prepared for the next step; the serum.
Speaking of this, the Rose Lifting Serum contains May Seaweed as well as other ingredients which aim in relaxing facial muscles and smoothing expression lines and wrinkles.
The serum comes in a slim and compact bottle with a pump on the top which helps to control the amount of product and also makes sure that no bacteria transfer from your hands and fingers into the product. The texture itself is very light and absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it nourished without feeling heavy at all. The skin looks more plump, glowing and fine laugh lines look notably mellowed. The delicate rose scent makes it a pleasure to use as well.
After that, it is time to moisturise and the Intense Hydra-Lifting Cream is the cream to chose.
According to Omorovicza, the cream is able to remodel and firm the skin, smoothing out and reducing the depth of unwanted wrinkles and fine lines. With the help of a small spatula that comes with the product the moisturiser glides on easily and absorbs quickly into the skin. The skin, again, feels perfectly hydrated and nourished but without a greasy film that many products can leave. Loaded with powerful ingredients including several antioxidants, Hyaluronic Acid, a specific alga complex and many more, the cream fights the signs of aging by stimulating skin’s collagen production, reduces the negative effects of glycation, repairs and regenerates and also treats the signs of photo-aging meaning skin alterations due to UV damage. After using this moisturiser religiously over four weeks, my skin looks visibly brighter, feels firmer and fine lines are not that obvious anymore.
You want to treat your skin and you need this little extra pampering from time to time? Then become a fan of Miracle Facial Oil and Ultramoor Mud Mask and turn your bathroom into a relaxing oasis and do your own relaxing spa treatment at home.
I’ve been using the facial oil mainly at night on a weekly basis or on days when my skin felt extra dry and lifeless. Dispensed via a dropper, you only need a couple of drops (a little goes a long way!) to infuse your skin with what it needs; soothing oils which smooth fine lines and wrinkles, protect from environmental stress and boost skin’s elasticity.
Once applied on the skin, the oil has a water-like texture which doesn’t feel greasy at all and makes it perfect to use for a relaxing face massage. I’ve noticed that when used over night, my skin looks more plump and deeply relaxed the next morning.
Once a week, I’ve been using Omorovicza’s new facial mask whose ingredients have been extracted from the largest thermal lake in Europe, Lake Heviz.
I applied a generous amount to my whole face and neck (excluding the delicate eye area) and left it on for about 15 minutes. After that, I removed it thoroughly with a damp facial cloth.
As it is a mud mask, the black formula deeply cleansed and purified my skin and left it looking visibly brightened and more clear.
After following this whole routine for a month, I notice more radiant looking skin and I receive complements for my more youthful and glowing complexion.

Cleansing Oil Dé Maq
The oil based cleanser comes in a small pump bottle which means you only need a little to use. I loved the light citrus smell. I wasn’t sure about it being able to clean off everything from mascara to foundation, but it really was effective. I pumped a little into my hand and wiped off the make up and day’s dirt with a tissue.
Dew Facial Wash
Not all people like to wash their faces but I do, so the facial wash was a great product to use for me. I have a face cloth that I use anyway so again from the pump bottle I used a tiny amount on my clean face cloth and noticed a slight foam and again a lovely fresh citrus smell. I didn’t feel like my skin was too dry.
Gentle Exfoliant
I’m not a big exfoliant user but my skin did feel smoother and cleaner after having tried it. I felt like I had got rid of dead skins so I could moister better. Although, I only used this once a week.
Energising Conditioner
I was advised to use this on my skin whilst damp. In order to ‘balance’ my skin to its natural state. It encourages hydration and moisture leading to the skin’s natural state.
Refreshing Hydrating Mist
Then onto the toner and with the hydrating mist its just a spritz of the mist from the handy little pump bottle. Yet again a lovely smell that was almost a soft ginger.
Lastly it was time to moister and I used the Enriching Moisturiser which I was delighted to find was nice and light with a little going a long way. Yet again a lovely aroma came with, green and lemony.
To sum up… I would say that this is a fair amount of work more than I would usually do but my pores look smaller and my face feels softer and definitely looks brighter. I would also say that I loved that this range is totally natural and organic. As a vegetarian I felt it is important to take a little of my food philosophy to my face!
Key ingredients you should be looking for: all AEOS products contain organic and biodynamic plant extracts, essences and essential oils, as well as spagyric tinctures of crystal energies (body, soul and spirit as a balanced unity).
ARK– Kelly Waldmeister, 22, Composition Skin
Ark are proud to contain no parabens, SLS, mineral oil, S.D alcohol, artificial colour or fragrance.
ARK Age Protect Skin Clear Cleanser
Having heard a lot about it, I always wanted to use Ark’s Age protect line, therefore I was pretty excited to try it out! I tend to use very specific products on my skin-such as organic skincare – as it is very sensitive and sometimes spotty.
I religiously cleans my skin every morning and evening with Ark Age Protect Skin Clear Cleanser and actually got rid off the spots that never wanted to leave my skin! I love the fresh smell of the product and the soft feeling that it leaves on my skin. Further, compare to several cleanser that I have used in the past, the Ark one doesn’t leave my skin dry but softer than ever!
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Aqua (Water), Sodium Lauroyl Oat Aminoacids, Vitamin E Acetate, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract
ARK Age Protect Skin Vitality Moisturiser
It is the perfect moisturiser for young skin like mine! Indeed, it deeply and effectively hydrates the skin whilst protecting it from bacterias. It has this special anti-pollution system, which is exactly what I needed, leaving in the heart of London.
To continue, I love the fact that my skin totally absorbs the moisturiser, without leaving this awful sensation of stickiness. Moreover, as it is filled with vitaminis, it really keeps my skin soft throughout the day.
To finish, I adore this natural smell of olive oil and avocado which is truly soothing.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Aqua (Water), Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Creatine, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate), Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract
ARK Pro Remove Pre Cleanse
I would definitely recommend this pre Cleanser.
Firstly, there is no need to use any makeup remover, which are often damaging the skin. Indeed, Ark’s pro remove pre cleanser, removes all makeup, even waterproof one, without aggressing the skin.
Secondly, The fact that it has to be applied on dry skin, truly prepares it for a deep cleanser.
Finally it appeases my sensitive skin, after having exposed it to all sort of bacterias during the day.
I have used it every evening before Ark Age Protect Skin Clear Cleanser, and the combination of both products is absolutely effective.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate
ARK Clearing Serum
As mentioned before, I tend to have an oily skin, yet the the Clearing Serum definitely reduced this shiny effect after only 3 to 4 days using it. Moreover, due to my sensitive skin, the winter cold really irritates it, which leaves some rednesses all over my face and this serum truly calmed and moderated those blemishes.
Moreover, using only 2 to 3 drops into my moisturizer every day, the serum will definitely last me another 3 months, which makes the price really reasonable.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Aqua (Water), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Alcohol, Tocopherol Acetate
To sum up, I am really glad that I have been ask to try ARK skincare, as it has definitely become my new skincare routine! I would recommend it to all twenty something women with sensitive skin.
CREME DE LA MER- Petra Lovell, 39, Normal to sensitive Skin
I’m not usually a fan of washing my face with a soapy water type solution, but I added a little to my face as with all the products you don’t need a lot. I wiped it clean with a cloth and water. I enjoyed the experience and it didn’t leave my skin sore. I also liked the bottle as was easy to get a small amount out so I didn’t waste anything.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Declustered Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Meal, Copper Gluconate, Calcium Gluconate, Magnesium Gluconate, Tocopheryl Succinate, Niacin
The tonic
I was again worried about using a tonic, as I do find sometimes these ‘burn’ my skin leaving it feeling rather sore. But a dab on cotton wool and it left my face feeling tight but not sore and certainly nice and clean.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Declustered Water, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seedcake, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Meal, Tocopheryl Succinate, Niacin, Sodium Hyaluronate
The regenerating serum
I’ve never really got into serums as tend to clean tone and moisturisers, so this was my first time using one. I loved how little goes such a long way and I felt fresh and warm, if that makes sense, after using it. I liked the fact that some days I just used this without using a moisturiser as well.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Water, Caprylic/Capric/Myristic/Stearic Triglyceride, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Meal, Tocopheryl Succinate, Niacin, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Coenzyme A, Acetyl Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydrogenated Lecithin
Moisturising cream
The first thing I noticed was that the cream itself is very thick. It smelt nice but it has a slight sticky feeling. It didn’t irritate my sensitive skin, as I do suffer sometimes with creams as I have a tendency towards sensitive skin.
I slept and the morning after, my face did feel more hydrated. It has left my face looking and feeling nourished and healthy =, and I would even go so far as to say more firm.I only use a small amount but I feel happy wearing literally no make up most days, which I think says a lot about a good moisturiser.
I tended to use this with the serum some days, others I just used the serum and then I used both. It very much depends how much I am out and about and how much protection I feel I need on a particular day.
The eye concentrate
Now, I have never used an eye cream even though some of my friends do, I have never felt like I could be bothered. However I only used this about twice a week and I did think it was good. Light and easy to apply and my worry of having gooey sticky eyes was uncalled for. One thing I did notice was that when I used at weekend before going out, my make up stayed on better!
Key ingredients you should be looking for Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seedcake, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Meal, Tocopheryl Succinate, Niacin, Biotin, Ascorbyl Phosphate, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Extract, Retinyl Palmitate
All in all I think the products are great, I can’t say, I noticed a huge difference in just over a month but little things may have changed. I would say my skin glows a lot more. The containers were easy to use with pumps and spatulas and best of all you need so so little… It all goes such a long way.
ELEMIS– Femke Reitsma,23, Normal to Spotty Skin
Dynamic Resurfacing Daily Essentials
A daily set that I used after removing my make-up and washed my face.
Dynamic Resurfacing wash:
This wash feels smooth and silky, very soft. It is very easy to wash off, not like most face wash.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Tocopherol
Balancing lavender toner:
A strong lavender aroma, if you like face products without any aromas, this toner is not for you. It feels very nice on your skin after cleansing, calming.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Aqua/Water/Eau, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Lecithin, Tocopherol
Nourishing omega rich cleansing oil:
Even though it is an oil, your skin doesn’t feel greasy after a while. Love that using a tiny bit of this cleansing oil is already making changes of how your skins feels like.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Aqua/Water/Eau, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Tocopherol
Pro radiance flash balm:
Makes your skin radiant, but doesn’t last very long. I didn’t see any age/skin quality-related effects, but then again, a month might be too short to say.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Lecithin, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C)
The set is very easy to use daily and together they balance your skin. After some weeks my skin felt more relaxed and richer. I especially cherish the cleansing oil, very great for these winter days.
FOY–Laura Phillips, 50, Combination Skin
Cleansing Micellar water
I really liked the fact that some of the products colour-less as it made them feel purer & unadulterated. The micellar cleanser was very easy to use. I liked the twist cap ,as it meant it was simple to get the product out. In fact ,because it was liquid it meant it was straight forward and not at all messy to apply. Also the bottle stayed clean; No leaks or gunk! The fragrance was nice and subtle too ,also adding to unadulterated feel.
Key ingredients you should be looking for Panthenol (renowned for its moisturising capabilities, increases hydration and improves softness and elasticity), Chamomile, Ginseng and Marigold Extracts (soothe, calm and tone the skin), Rose Water (soothes irritated skin)
Moisturizing day cream
This was lighter than I’m used to, so once applied It didn’t feel for me like I’d applied any. Maybe I just needed to use more or that I’m just used to feeling more cream on my skin. Again lovely and easy to apply and to get to ,not at all sticky.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Hyaluronic Acid (holds and retains water in our skin’s dermis. Improves skins firmness by increasing collagen synthesis. Smoothes, softens and helps to reduce the appearance of the lines and wrinkles), Shea butter (rich in vitamins A,E,F which are highly nourishing, conditioning and protecting), Jojoba (composition resembles the skin’s own sebum. Balances skin’s natural oil production and has powerful moisturing capabilities)
Rejuvenating Night cream
Very much as before I liked it and was not heavy but again I worried it was too light to what I’m used to.
Rejuvenating eye contour gel
As for the eye gel. Again nothing about it was sticky and again the bottle was very functional. I also used on wrinkles around my mouth as I reckoned it couldn’t do any harm and if good for eye wrinkles then why not for the others?
Product colour could have been less ‘gold’ for me as I like the white/ colorless feature of the other products
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Echinacea extract (100% natural concentrate with excellent anti-ageing, anti-irritant and antioxidant properties), Hyaluronic Acid (an intensive moisturiser that increases smoothness, softens skin and targets wrinkles), Sea chamomile (offers a unique skin relaxing effect), Centella Asiatica Extract (stimulates collagen production, making the skin more supple)
All in all, the products definitely made my skin feel firmer. I can’t say if I was aware of any change in skin appearance and my husband didn’t say anything to this effect.
I would say that I loved how easy it is to use and to stick to twice daily cleansing and moisturising routine.
Thank you for giving me these products and including me in the trial.
Product: Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash
Key ingredients: Calendula, Glycerin
Kiehl’s Blue Herbal –Rapheala Rashid Bicknell, 17,acne prone
Products: Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Moisturizer, Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser, Kiehl’s Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion, Blue Herbal Spot Treatment
Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser, Kiehl’s Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion, (duo regime)
The products packaging was typical Kiehl’s packaging, simple and easy to use.
I took my make up off using a small amount of cleanser on a cotton pad and rinsed it off with warm water. My skin did feel clean and I noticed lots of dirt on the cotton pad. Its minty ‘feel’ left my face feeling slightly tingly but actually cool. Also you really don’t need much as it goes a long way. Then used the toner on the most oily parts of my face and let my skin absorb the product for around 5 minutes. As I’m prone to breakouts in these areas I wanted to concentrate the real cleanse to these parts
Key ingredients cleanser:
Cinnamon Bark Extract (taken from the dried bark of cultivated trees and is considered to be of much higher quality than extract derived from leaves. It contains an essential oil that is not only recognized for its soothing effects, but is also known to have antibacterial properties),Ginger Root Extract (provides gingerols that are known to have soothing properties. It also helps to absorb excess oil)
Key ingredients lotion: Sodium PCA, Camphor (eastern evergreen tree extract: cooling)
Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Moisturizer, Blue Herbal Spot Treatment
I used the spot cream most evenings on any blemishes and found that is helped to dry them out by the morning. In the morning I re used the cleanser to clean and refresh my face and then applied the moisturiser to create a bass to apply my make up onto. It had a nice matte texture and so was nice base for my make up.
Key ingredients moisturiser: Salicylic Acid, Sodium PCA (moisture-binding capacity)
Key ingredients spot treatment: Glycolic Acid
I would say all of the products smelt of mint and achieved the desired affect, improving the softness of my skin and preventing blemishes and oiliness. I feel I would continue with this skincare, however I would say this is strong, and good for oily or acne prone. One of my friends used it one night and she has dry skin and the products let her skin dry and sore. Well, a month and a half in it’s great because there is more for me!
REN SKINCARE–Charlotte Manners, 21, Sensitive Skin
When first being asked to test out REN’s Clearcalm 3 Regime Kit, I never imagined the results would be as good as they are. Previously I would cleanse about 3 times a week, occasionally exfoliate and easy face wipes were my best friend, using them daily. My skin was always predominantly clear yet since moving to central London the pollution has meant I have got regular spots on my chin that can often leave red marks behind. Within the first week of using REN’s Clearcalm 3 Regime Kit,daily my spots on my chin had cleared up. Not only did it clear up my spots, yet it has successfully kept them away from the start of the year. My skin now back to its completely clear self and the dirt of city living doesn’t phase it.
ClearCalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser 50ml
With a pump lid, and cap for over the funnel, the bottle design is easy and controllable. I found that I needed a little less than the recommended amount. Then with a clean face (I used a micellar water to take off my makeup) I massaged the clay cleanser around my face, concentrating on my t-zone, for about 2 minutes. Then simply wash off. I like to do this before I go to bed every night to ensure I go to sleep with a completely clean face. But mornings can work too and it gives you a refreshing start to the day with tea tree freshness. The texture and smell leaves you feeling extremely refreshed.
Key ingredients you should be looking for Aqua (Water), Kaolin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Glucoside, Glycerin, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Lactic Acid
ClearCalm 3 Replenishing Gel Cream 15ml
Once my daily cleanse is completed I would always follow with the Gel Cream. It is a lightweight cream, ideal to wear in the day or to bed. Concentrating on my affected areas at first, this cleared up my remaining spots. Then I have continued to use this once a day, morning or night. It is so lightweight that is doesn’t clog up your pores. Only a pea size amount is needed. My only criticism is that there is not enough and I will be ordering the larger size as it is almost finished. I always followed the gel cream with a light moisturiser, just a cheap one will do. As using clay cleansers and masks can be drying, so this prevents that.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Aqua (Water), Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Tocopherol, Lactic Acid, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract
ClearCalm 3 Clarity Restoring Mask 15ml
I use the mask once a week when I can. It is lightweight and refreshing leaving my skin smoother and helped with the clearing process of spots. Leave it on for 15 minutes as recommended and follow with the Gel Cream.
Overall this kit was a life saver for me, and completely cleared up my skin. I already have been recommending it to friends and will continue to do so, especially if they don’t have much time, as it can be done in the shower. I would also highly recommend it to those of you in your 20’s living in a city or polluted area.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Glycerin, Kaolin, Aqua (Water), Calcium Carbonate, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract.
S5–Donna Tzelepis, 37, normal to dry skin
Restore Cream
The pot was nicely designed but it could have benefitted from a spatula so I didn’t have to use my fingers. The consistency of the creme was nice and thick and it didn’t block my pores. I liked the fact the products weren’t scented.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Aqua (Water), Sodium Hyaluronate, Salicylic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol, Tocopherol
Renew Serum
Really liked the pipette and felt an instant hydration when used with the cream. I also used it on its own some days and it worked really well. The consistency was great. My skin literally drank it.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Aqua (Water), Sodium Hyaluronate, Stearate, Salicylic Acid, Tocopherol
Nourish Cleanser
Wash cleanser was great and pulled off all my makeup brilliantly. I liked that the container was clear and I could see the product.
The only thing I would suggest is including a muslin cloth with the product. The first night I didn’t have one to hand and there was a slight residue left.
Key ingredients you should be looking for : Glycerin, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Aqua (water), Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, Tocopherol.
SUQQU–Sasha Davenport, 36, Normal Skin
Products: Masculate massage and mask cream, Face refresher, Moisture repair essence, Moisture Barrier Cream
I was really excited to get this set to try, I have read a lot of great things by beauty insiders about the brand, so felt really lucky to get to trial it.
Firstly there was the Masculate massage and mask cream. This is based on the The Gankin Facial Massage which can be done in some beauty salons, but I go to do it at home.
I applied it to the cotton pads provided all over my face, which is lovely thick and creamy. I then massaged my face with it. This was to be fair a very pleasant experience which in a way forced me to take a little time out of my day to do this.
After wiping off my skin felt really soft and velvety, yet not at all greasy and with what I really consider a fresh glow I would suggest however getting an idea before you use it how best to do the massage as this isn’t meant to be a softly softly approach but a hardcore massage for the face to promote the lymphatic system. It did take a couple of times go get the hang of it but I must say im a fan!
Once I had wiped my face I then used the SuqquFace refresher to clean off any excess oil. A liquid used on a simple cotton pad worked a treat.
Following on came the moisture repair essence as an almost pre-moisturising layer of the regime. I used a cotton pad and wiped it all over the that left my skin feeling silk. It’s a light creamy texture in a pump bottle so easy to use and is a serum so perfect before the final step using the Moisture Barrier cream as the final step.
I used the massage step only once a week as this was far more time consuming that mist beauty regimes I have used, but the whole massage part was utterly divine and I did love the indulgence of it.
I have decided to carry on using this regime because I found my skin looked brighter and certainly felt softer after a month of use
Thanks .Cent team for including me in the trials.
THISWORKS– Catarina Wilk, 23, Combination Skin
As part of our skincare test, I was chosen to try three skincare products by the British brand ThisWorks which offers a whole range of different natural skincare products.
To cleanse or not to cleanse; that is the question! With ThisWorks’ light time cleanse & glow the answer is easy: yes please!
Coming in a slim and handy opaque tube, the light balm-like texture of this cleanser contains water-activated Vitamin C which once you’ve added water turns into thin lather. It is recommended to apply the cleanser onto dry skin, adding a bit of water and massaging your skin for one minute. If you have more time, you can even leave it up to ten minutes to boost the brightening effect of the Vitamin C. After removing the cleanser either with water or with a muslin cloth, like I did, the skin looks visibly brighter and it feels pleasently clean and refreshed. The cleanser doesn’t strip or leaves the skin dry due to added jojoba oil and skin soothing Vitamin E.
After cleansing, I applied the light time skin plumper which comes in an opaque packaging and is dispensed via a pump at the top which helps to control the amount of product and also makes sure that no bacteria transfer from your hands and fingers into the product. The texture of the plumper reminds of a very light moisturizer and applies easily onto the skin and absorbs extremely quickly. The product aims in smoothing the appearance of sleep lines and help shake off signs of fatigue. And I have to say this worked! My skin looks visibly brighter, more awake and plump after using the product regularly due to the great amount of Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid it contains.
You did not have that much sleep and your eye area looks puffy and tired as mine used to do?
If so, I can highly recommend ThisWorks’ light time open eyes. The hydrating but very light eye cream comes in a tube with a cooling metal applicator at the top. By massaging the product in circular motions around the delicate eye area and upper eye lid, the metal applicator helps to reduce puffiness and your eye area looks more awake once the eye cream has fully absorbed into the skin. Speaking of the actual ingredients, Vitamin-rich algae, soothing Aloe Vera and Persian Silk Tree extract brightened and nourished my eye area and visibly erased the signs of a lack of sleep.
After following this skincare routine for a month, I notice a more radiant complexion which looks brighter and definitely more awake than it used to be.
Key ingredients eye cream: Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Panthenol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Allantoin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Hyaluronate
BURT’S BEES– Daria Komyagina, 22, Nomal to Oily Skin
Products: Radiance toner, Intense Hydration cream cleanser and treatment mask, Sensitive Daily Moisturizer, Herbal blemish stick
I’m used to treat my skin daily and generally I think that skincare regime is VERY important so I was a bit scared to change my skincare routine. But I guess changes are not so bad, after all. The packaging of Burts Bees’s products is quite simple and nice, pleasant to look at but nothing too special. It is easy to use, and moisturizer comes with a pump (I think a lot of people would find this as a huge plus). The scents are way too strong for me personally. I think that is the main reason why I did not really enjoy using the line. I would not repurchase it. But I would definitely recommend it for those who 1) love natural/organic cosmetics, 2) have a dry skin (as I used products that are mainly supposed to be used to treat dry skin), 3) love scented products.
Cleanser And Mask– liked this product the most. Creamy texture, floral scent (which was a bit too strong for me, as I mentioned). It is not drying at all, moisturize skin nicely.
Key ingredients of the cleanser: aqua (water, eau), stearic acid, glycerin, ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, cera alba (beeswax, cire d’abeille), olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, tocopherol, arginine
Key ingredients of the mask: aqua (water, eau), ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, cera alba (beeswax, cire d’abeille), helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed wax, lecithin, tocopherol
Toner –Usually I really love toners and that is an important step in my skincare, I love the sensation my usual toners leave on my skin. This one felt like water. This might be good for some people but I prefer to feel/see the product working. But the smell was not as strong as cleanser and moisturizer, that is a plus.
Moisturizer – Same strong floral scent as in cleanser. The texture is quite thick and I liked it. But after using it I felt that my skin was burning a bit (to be fair that happens sometimes, I am very careful with my moisturizers). I think this moisturizer, and the whole line in general, will fit someone with dry skin. Mine is more oily so I don’t think that is the best option for me. The bottle has a pump and it is quite convenient to use. However, I think it will be very hard to get to these last bits of the product out of the bottle.
Blemish stick – Nice product aimed to heal spots. It has a roller applicator.Has a strong herbal scent. It burned my spots when I applied it; dried them.
Key ingredients: calendula officinalis (calendula) flower oil, aqua (water, eau), melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil
DERMALOGICA – Rebecca McNelly-Tilford,21, Spotty Skin
Dermalogica declare that you will be left ‘Beautifully Gorgeous’ after the use of their skincare products. Dermalogica suggest’s an everyday routine of ‘Cleanse, Exfoliate, Tone and Moisturise / Protect’ .With this in mind I created my own routine, testing out the Dermaolgica Clear range.
Breakout Clearing: Emergency Spot Fix, Blackhead Clearing: Pore Control Scrub, Breakout Clearing: All Over Toner, Oil Clearing: Matte Moisturiser,Breakout Clearing: Foam Wash and Hydrating Lotion: Skin Soothing were all products sent to us to test out. After looking at the suggested Demralogica routine we created our own to get the best out of all the products.
‘Breakout Clearing: Emergency Spot Fix’, which is represented within red packaging, was chosen to start the routine and blast away any current blemishes I currently have. This will then be used again within the routine when needed. Next would be the ‘Blackhead Clearing: Pore Control Scrub’, lime green packaging, used as an extra clear start, and re-used within the routine once a week.
Next would be the start of the everyday routine which will begin with the pink packaged ‘Breakout Clearing: All Over Toner’ followed by the ‘Oil Clearing: Matte Moisturiser’, which is presented in the blue packing and also contains SPF 15 to help easy sun damage. And at the end of the night when your beauty needs to be removed the ‘Breakout Clearing: Foam Wash’, dark green packaging and the purple packaged ‘Hydrating Lotion: Skin Soothing’ will remove and sooth the skin for the night.
After following this routine for a month, I have been receiving compliments on the state of my skin. ‘Breakout Clearing: Foam Wash’ the refreshing feeling of washing my face after the day, is now a guilty pleasure, a personal favourite. In moment when unwanted friends come to visit the ‘Breakout Clearing: Emergency Spot Fix’ is now my ultimate go-to, and at the end of a week the ‘Blackhead Clearing: Pore Control Scrub’ leaves my skin feeling refreshed, tight a new. Alongside the Pore Control Scrub you can really feel the ‘Breakout Clearing: All Over Toner’working. All products overall have left my skin soft with a noticeably less breakouts.

ERBORIAN-Nancy Fox 23 Normal to Greasy Skin
Products: CHARCOAL KONJAC SPONGE, CLEANSING CRÈME AUX 7 HERBES, DOUBLE MOUSSE AUX 7 HERBES
I’ve never come across this range of products ,so before I started to use them I thought it good to do a little research.
What I learnt was it’s a South Korean/French brand, based on the idea of several layers of cleansing. Not something I have ever heard of before, I must say.It did perk my interest ,because I like to wear lots of make up ,so I was intrigued to see if the regime made any real difference. I also read that the products are all tested under dermatological supervision.
CLEANSING CRÈME AUX 7 HERBES,
A creamy texture that lathers when water is added and becomes like a gentle milky texture. I washed my face with this and found my make up came off really easily and didn’t leave my skin either dry or greasy;
Key ingredients cleansing crème: Tiger grass (anti inflammatory, helps healing), Rosemary (anti-stress and antioxidant), Small Chamomile (restorative effect on dry, sensitive and irritated skin), Japanese knotweed (relieves pain and treats scrapes), Licorice (reduces melanin generation at the origin of pigmentation), Skullcap (promotes skin lightening and mitigation tasks), Green Tea (prevents damage Caused by UVB rays)
CHARCOAL KONJAC SPONGE
I used the sponge too when cleansing so see if this made a difference. It felt like doing a very gentle exfoliation and I would say as I only used this a few times, that my skin seemed slightly les greasy in my T-Zone.
DOUBLE MOUSSE AUX 7 HERBES
So this is where initially I found things a little confusing in the multiple cleansing regime. However, once I got my head around the fact that this whole brand ethos is about several layers of cleansing it began to make sense. So a little like the Kinjac Charcoal Sponge, I tended to use this as a secondary layer of cleaning when I had been wearing a full face of make up and had been out and about in the city.
The gel style cleanser, although thick goes into the skin very easily, and once mixed with water really cleans off the deep dirt that make up and city life brings. I was actually impressed as it felt like the dirt and grime was deeper than the layer of make up. It felt like having a mini very soft exfoliation regime, yet my skin felt soft after not dry as I have often found with deep cleaning.
I must say that I now get it, the triple layer of cleansing. Although I doubt I would do this religiously ever day but certainly would do this on days where Im wearing a lot of make up and when Im out in the city
I certainly felt like my skin looked brighter after a month of this and never felt anything but soft. Considering we are still in the last dregs of winter, this to me was the greatest surprise of all.
Key ingredients mousse: Centella Asiatica Extract, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Licorice
GOLDFADEN MD– Caitlyn Kershaw, 32, Combination Skin
Products: Goldfaden MD Pure Start, Goldfaden MD Vital Boost
Goldfaden MD is known to be one of the finest skincare regime in the industry. Being a skincare freak myself, I was delighted to be testing it for Cent Magazine.
Goldfaden MD Pure Start,Cleanser
I religiously cleansed my skin with Goldfaden MD Pure Start morning and evening, gently massaging my face and neck with the product and then rinsing it off with hot water. It removes all dirt, impurity and makeup, leaving the skin fresh and clean.
My first thoughts were on the ingenious packaging, the pump allowing you to control the amount of product you want to use. Then, on the soft texture which deeply cleans the skin without irritating nor drying it out.
Further, more then a simple cleanser, Pure Start boosts the elasticity and firmness of the skin ( due to Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein), and keeps your skin hydrated.
Containing a hypo-allergenic formula, I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a great cleanser.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Purified Water (Aqua), Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Lycopene, Ethylhexylglycerin
Goldfaden MD Vital Boost, Moisturiser
Once again I would give 5 stars out of 5 for the hygienic packaging. Further, the formula of the moisturizer is rich in vitamin D ( rejuvenating),vitamin C ( radiance) and skin boosting, which transforms it into something more than a simple hydration companion. Indeed, it protects and brightened the skin, giving it a glowing ( not shinny) appearance. Nonetheless, it profoundly hydrates and enhances the quality of the skin. After applying the product, my skin looks radiant, tighter and healthier.
Key ingredients you should be looking for: Purified Water (Aqua), Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3)
L’OCCITANE FOR MEN– Tim Brooks,21,Normal Skin
CEDRAT PURE CLEANSER
First impression of the product was definitely the smell. The face scrub has a good balance of musky and a fresh scent but not too overpowering. The consistency is easy to apply to the face and definitely feels fresh on the skin. Straight after use, there is an obvious change in texture of the skin leaving your face feeling a lot smoother. However, the scrub definitely made my red areas and breakouts a lot more prominent. This could be due to my skin type or mis-use/overuse of the product but overall, I would say the wash leaves the skin feeling clean and soft but wouldn’t recommend for eliminating spots.
Key ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Decyl Glucoside, Sucrose Cocoate
CEDRAT AFTER SHAVE CREAM GEL
As a graphic designer myself, the packaging instantly had my attention. The colour palette of the packaging is very clean and minimal and the use of brail on the side of the packaging is highly innovative and forward-thinking. Again, the scent was very fresh and non-offensive. The consistency seeped into the skin well and didn’t sit on the skin for a long time. The gel felt very gentle but still quite thick. However this didn’t concern me and as I said absorbed into the skin really well. The paint tube packaging is also very easy to use and aesthetically very nice.
Key ingredients: Aqua/Water, Glycerin, Ceteryl Alcohol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Bisabolol, Tocopherol
CEDRAT GLOBAL FACE GEL
Yet again, the packaging is very powerful but still understated and minimal. The face gel is described to hydrate, matey and energise the skin. I am confident the product definitely hydrated my face and left it feeling energised however I wouldn’t say the outcome was particularly mattifying. Unlike the After Shave Cream Gel, the consistency left my face feeling very sticky and shiny. The instructions claim for the gel to be used everyday however, this would be too much for my skin and would probably lead to breakouts occurring.
Key ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Bisabolol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Salicylic Acid, Caprylyl Glycol, Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, Copper Gluconate
MUJI–Yasemin H., 22, Normal to Oily Skin
Products: Day cream,Facial toner,Cleansing milk
What is it like to use?
The new Muji skincare is a true pleasure to use, perfect for anyone who wants a hassle-free skincare routine when rushing in the mornings or feeling a pamper in the evenings.
Focus on smell, texture, touch:
I expected the cleansing milk to be heavy and creamy, which originally didn’t sit well with me as I have very sensitive eyes. After applying a small amount of the milk to my face, it removed the majority of my make up easily and I was impressed with the fact I did not have to use a large amount to achieve this.
Unlike any other toners I have used, this one resembled a water consistency and felt clean and fresh on my skin. After using toners in the past, I tend to have a stinging sensation, suggesting the harshness of the ingredients, however the Muji toner soothed and hydrated my skin, prepping it for moisturiser.
I loved the fact that the range has no prominent smell.
The texture of the day cream is beautifully light, as a user which often suffers from slight oiliness in the t-zone, this product absorbed into my skin leaving no greasiness behind, whilst working great underneath foundation.
Time taken for skin routine
I have always been the type of person who loves a good pamper, however I do not always have the time to do this. After using the Muji products, I realised it was not necessary to achieve good results by spending a great deal of time on skincare. My skin was noticeably clear after a week of consistently using the three products, feeling smooth and appearing much more hydrated.
Describe my ritual – daily/weekly?
Everyday I use a gentle scrub then cleanse, tone and moisturiser my face every day, twice a day. Once a week, I also use a facial mask.

Hypoallergenic Gentle cleanser
I was happy to see such a big bottle of cleanser with screw top and a pump to use once opened.I always like a pump action, as its always me to sue the product in a controlled way without sticking my hands into it.The cleanser is a gel style but doesn’t lather and needs little to wash away not just make up but also it felt like it cleared away the dirt from a busy London day.
It doesn’t have a strong smell, maybe a fraction of almond to its sent. I found it worked well and didn’t dry out my skin, but left in nice and clean feeling. After a couple of weeks of use, I didn’t notice any spots from changing from my usual cleaner.
Key ingredients: Water/Aqua, Glycerin, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Butylene Glycol, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Extract
I also tried the Perricone MD Hypoallergenic Nourishing Moisturizer. As I tend towards dry skin I was keen to try this. I used it in the morning and at night. I found It went on very well and blended easily into my skin. And I felt my face looked fresher but to touch was smoother.
A really nice added bonus was that because it was soft and creamy I felt no need to put on any kind of primer. So for me it was a great product alongside that fact it’s hypoallergenic as I tend to find some creams irritate my skin. Lastly I loved the little scoop that comes with it making the ability to take only a little at a time very easy.
Key ingredients: Water/Aqua, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Panthenol, Allantoin, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Ceramide 2, Tocotrienols, Arginine, Tocopherol
SUKIN–Robyn Turk,23, Sensitive Skin
As a victim of sensitive skin, I have always had a minimal approach to skincare. I’ve lived in fear of manmade products with long ingredient names that sound like part of science experiments, not sure of what would bring hives or red marks to my skin. I washed my face with nothing but water every night, I’d use a dermatologist-prescribed exfoliator once in a while, and on occasion use a face mask made almost exclusively of Dead Sea mud.
So you can imagine my shock when I found a skincare line that actually worked quite well for me. For the past two months, I’ve been using Sukin, an Australian company that creates natural skincare products.
Every other night, I use the Sensitive Cleansing Gel for a gentle facial rinse. After, I spritz my skin with the Hydrating Mist Toner. The gel and toner smell like the outdoors, a nice confirmation of how natural the product’s ingredients are. In the mornings, I rinse my face with water and then use the Super Greens Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser, which smells a bit floral and has been keeping my skin nice and even, despite the cold weather. Once a week I use the Super Greens Detoxifying Facial Scrub, which isn’t rough on my skin at all, as most scrubs usually are. I had tried Sukin’s Cleansing Water as a make up remover, but it was too tough for me and irritated my skin and eyes.
Key ingredients cleanser: Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract (Chamomile), Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil (Rose Hip), Glycerin
Key ingredients scrub: Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol
Key ingredients toner: Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract (Chamomile)
Key ingredients moisturiser: Water (Aqua), Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
SUNDAY RILEY– Jo Phillips, 48, Pre-Monopausal combination skin
I was delighted to be trailing this Cult skincare, as I have heard an awful lot about it from beauty editors.
Im not a religious regime user, so trying out the products was an interesting experience.
First I tried the Ceramic Slip clay cleanser, which I was wory of as I can be prone to slightly oily or dry skin, and clay is know to dry out skin. However, after lathering a little of the sludgy concoction onto my face, then washing it off straight after ,I felt tightness without feeling dry. My skin felt clean and smooth.
I liked the container that had a pump which meant it was easy to control how much I used. It had that sort of fresh green slightly damp smelt to it.
The other product I used during the day was the Flora Hydroactive cellular face oil. Now its safe to say I LOVE anything with rose and I also do really like using oils on my skin so this seemed like the perfect product for me. Again, I loved the bottle with its sunset of pink to yellow and a pipette so I can use it sparingly (or more when I was in the mood). It smelt divine, but not sickly sweet rose but fresh green dirty floral rose..i.e how roses should smell.
It spread really easily over my face and where I was experiencing a little dryness I didn’t have the slightest worry about putting on another drop or two.
I’ve been using Good Genes every day of every week as a serum, or sometimes also with my moisturiser. I love the way it goes on really smoothly and of course it’s so easy to apply with the pump bottle. Although I did try it with moisturisers too and really felt that I personally didn’t need more than just this serum.
Key ingredients: Aloe Leaf Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butylene Glycol
The last product of the range that I trailed was the much talked of Luna Sleeping Night Oil. Now I had read that “if you’ve never used a retinol/have very sensitive skin then this may be the product for you.” Well I have never used retinol so here I go I thought. The bottle again is a beautiful navy blue glass with a pipette for a controlled use. I found patches of dry skin on my face and realised that maybe either I don’t have the skin type for retinol or need to use it far more sparingly than I had done.
Im keen to keep trying this product to see if, by using it only once a week to begin with, my skin will react better. Simply because at my age, I’m keen to get all the help I can get.

Accustoming skincare to one’s daily routine is a real life changer, especially for someone like me who never spent more then two minutes on skin rituals. Indeed, taking care of your skin will eat ten to fifteen minutes of your time, yet it is truly worth it.
Here is what became my daily routine:
Every morning, I start cleansing my skin with Vichy’s Pureté Thermale cleansing gel.
Cleansing gels and makeup removers are the only skincare products I had ever used until we started our skincare adventure.Being clueless on this particular topic, I would have never guess that there is such differences in cleanser! Indeed, Vichy’s Purete Thermal cleansing gel is the softest that I tried in years. The texture feels really smooth and fresh on the skin and has a very delicate smell. It truly cleans the inside of the pores, and leaves the skin unbelievably silk. It is the perfect wakeup call!
Then I carry on with Vicky’s Idealia Life serum. Having a good quality skin, I’ve never really had to use any cream or serum. However, living in a big city like London, the skin is always exposed to a lot of pollution and this is when the Idealia life serum is important. It protects the skin from stress and pollution and leaves it soft and rested.
Once again, the texture of the serum is very smooth and has a beautiful pearly appearance. As there is no need to use a big amount of it, a little bottle will last you for months and this is a real bonus point. Moreover, not only does this product work but it is also lovely to use.In fact, the packaging is perfectly done, the pump giving a cleaner aspect to the serum-you don’t have to put your dirty hands in it!-.
In addition to the life serum, I am using Vichy’s Idealia eye cream every morning. After having used it for 2 months, my eyes definitely appear more rested! Once again the packaging is very practical, as you can directly apply the cream under the eyes without using your fingers.
Key ingredients cleansing gel: Aqua/Water, Glycerin, Coco-Betaine, Sodium Cocoyl Glycinate, Sodium Chloride, Dipropylene Glycol
Key ingredients serum: Water, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid
Key ingredients eye cream: Water, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Cetyl Alcohol,Ascorbyl Glucoside, Tocopheryl Acetate, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid
Moving on to my evening routine:
I am starting with the Vichy Pureté Thermale Beautifying Cleansing micellar oil. I have to admit that I’m usually not a big fan of oily product, being scared that it will leave my skin shiny. However this micellar oil deeply purifies the skin by cleaning off all the dirt and pollution that the skin has absorb during the day.Further, my skin was definitely smoother and healthier by the next morning!
My next step is accompanied by Vichy Purté Thermale Waterproof eye makeup remover. Honestly, this is from far the BEST eye makeup remover I have ever used. At first, I was a bit sceptical , as my eyes are very sensitive and I thought that waterproof eye makeup remover would be too aggressive. I was nothing but wrong! It is very soft yet effective, and leaves a delicate balm on the eye lids.
To finish, every other week I applied Vichy Normaderm 3 in 1 cleanser. This product is way smoother then usual scrubs or masks and you can definitely feel the natural mud on its texture. It leaves your skin as soft as a doll face, without drying it out!
Key ingredients micellar oil: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Triisostearate, Aqua/Water, Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil, Tocopherol Acetate
Key ingredients eye makeup remover: Aqua/Water Sodium Chloride, Arginine, Dipotassium Phosphate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Taurine, Hexylene Glycol, Decyl Glucoside
Key ingredients 3 in 1 cleanser: AQUa/Water, Kaolin, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Chodrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Glycolic Acid, Zinc Gluconate, Salicylic Acid
To sum up, I am really grateful that i have participated to the skincare project, because it has completely changed and opened my view on skin products. Moreover, Vichy Pureté Thermale range was just launch this year and I will certainly continue to buy it!

First of all, let me tell you about micellar cleansers, as I have a french background and although they have become very trendy here now, they have been around in just about every French chemist for years. Micellar water is a skincare product used to remove make up an cleanse the skin, however, unlike most cleaners this is a product you can just use and not have to worry about washing off your skin after. Literally put on a cotton pad and wipe. So yes, I love micellar waters, so what did I think of this one? Well, I am prone off the odd spot and have had more or less none since using this!
However, much of a beauty addict one thing I have never really got into is eye serums. The way I see it, is that I can use whatever moisturizer I’m already using. So this was a tough call… I so wanted to be able to say nothing happened… But actually I have to admit, I did see a very slight reduction in the dark areas under my eyes. As before I really liked the pump bottle because, again, so little is needed this makes it easy to control the amounts.
We hope that our trails brightened up you mind on the complex yet delightful world of skincare, and just in case our was not enough, here are a few new products that we have not had the time to try. Maybe you want to take a chance?
