.Cent celebrates fragrance with floral fragrance from Candle artist Jo Loves and Robbie Honey. Robbie is not only a master in the candle world but is also and designer, teacher writer and overall artist. Robbie kindly took the time out of his very busy schedule to answer a few questions for .Cent.
What do you feel is the power of the white flower?
Apart from being utterly chic and possessing an exquisite luminosity, white flowers have some of the most captivating scents to be found, especially in some of the night bloomers, like Tuberose and the night flowering vine Ipomea Alba which opens before your very eyes at dusk and spills outs it’s heavenly scent into the evening and also towering night-scented tobacco, Nicotiana Sylvestris.
Why are flowers so perpetually loved in your opinion?
I have always been enraptured by flowers – they make my heart sing, giving me great joy. It is this sentiment and people’s desire to have nature close and this I believe is why flowers hold such as precious place in people’s hearts.
Three favourite flowers?
Wisteria – always Wisteria – Ipomea Alba, the aforementioned moonflower, Lily of the Valley and Jasmine. Sorry that’s five!
