.RATIO; The Way to our Well-Being

After a long and tiring day, the only thing we all want is to come home and relax. And what better to relax than to have a nice bath with Epsom Salt on it? Especially when you have one that gives you as many benefits as Westlab Epsom Salt does. Westlab is the UK’s leading manufacturer of affordable but really high-quality therapeutic salts full of minerals. Created by a family in 2004 with the hopes of reducing of their son’s eczema as their main mission, the brand is now expanding to make as many people happy and healthy all around the world as possible.

But let’s go back to their Epsom Salt. The best thing about it is you can use it for almost every part of your body. Just imagine yourself coming back home after a long day or an intense sports session with a huge pain in your stomach, cramps and muscle soreness. When it happens, you never really know what to do, all you want is shower and your bed. Well, if you put Westlab’s Epsom Salt in a warm bath, its essential minerals will make you feel at ease and you before you even realise it, you won’t suffer anymore and your body will be ready to workout again.

Relieving stomach pain is not the only thing that an Epsom Salt bath can do. It also boosts your body and mind with the magnesium and sulfate it contains, that controls blood sugar levels, but also keeps our “feel good hormone” up, known as serotonin. With just a 20 to 30 minutes bath, you can feel happier and more energetic than ever, and ready to dance all night long.

Oh no, you are on holidays in a really nice and sunny place, but full of mosquitos that bite you during the entire day. We all hate mosquito bites, it hurts, itch and irritates our skin so much! In one of these awful days when you feel like your entire body is an itch, just prepare yourself a warm bath with some Epsom Salt on it. The minerals contained in the salt will reduce all the horrible symptoms of insects bites. After this lovely bath, you will be able to go back to the beach, lay down and… Get bitten again!

Now that we saw the benefits of the Epsom Salt while it is used as a bath salt, we could think that it is its only benefits. The answer is no, now that your body is relaxed, without any suffering left and that you are full of joy, you want to show it to the entire world, or at least your friends. But, oh my god, your hair looks tired and sad, and you never want to go out with dull hair. Epsom Salt can be, here again, the answer to your problem. A gentle massage of your scalp with a handful of it before shampooing can wash away dirt, pollution (we all know that our so beloved big cities are unfortunately polluted a lot) and dead skin cells, but also nourish your scalp. After this massage and the shampoo, your hair will be softer and shinier as ever, and you will be able to make all of your friends jealous.

Finally, there is one last thing to do with Epsom Salt that can help a lot in everyday’s life. Touching wood is supposed to be a sign of luck, but the splinters we catch while touching don’t make us feel lucky at all. It hurts and irritates the skin and it is always so hard and annoying to spend hours trying to remove it with our tweezers. Soak the part of your body that has the splinters into a glass of warm water and a few teaspoons of Epsom Salt for a few minutes, it will reduce the inflammation, soothe and soften the skin. After using this solution, removing the splinters will be as easy as a child’s play.
