Mirror: Smells mirroring nature
By Jo Phillips
Smells and scents always bring us back to the basics. They can bring us back to a certain place, a moment in time, or simply back to nature and the beauty of the world. Light, fruity, fresh smells mirror the scents of summer.
In the case of Oyedo, the citrus fruit smell of yuzu mixed with the herbal scent of thyme from the Diptyque fruity family, brings to mind the picturesque lemon groves of California and the Mediterranean.
In Diptyque‘s woody family classic, Philosykos, the scent of wild fig trees on the way to the beach during a summer spent in Greece sweeps through the senses. The fragrance captures every aspect of the tree: the freshness of the leaves, the sun warmed wood, and the milky flavor of the fruit.
The Jo Malone light floral family fragrance, French Lime Blossom Cologne mirrors memories of early summer days in Paris. The scent is heady, powdery linden flowers with some bergamot and herbaceous tarragon to create a scent of blossoming.
