Types of roof windows from Fakro – check out our suggestions
By Jo Phillips
Thanks to this, FAKRO continues to develop dynamically in the Polish and European markets, expanding its product range. Below, we will look at the types of pitched roof windows the company offers. If you would like to learn more about the FAKRO window types and their maintenance, we encourage you to visit https://www.fakro.co.uk/roof_windows/.
PreSelect MAX tilt-and-turn windows
One of the most popular types of roof windows is the tilt and turn windows from the FAKRO portfolio. You can easily tilt them up to a 45-degree, making your loft space even better used. The tilt and turn function is also separated in this model, which improves the window’s stability.
The handle in the proSelect MAX windows has been placed at the bottom of the sash, which is an improvement for shorter people. Unsealing of the window is possible in two ways. However, that is not all. The model includes a special slider that locks the window rotated by 180 degrees, which promotes easier cleaning and maintenance.
Wooden, pivot windows with increased moisture resistance
Vacuum-impregnated pine roof windows are another popular model. ThermoPro technology enhances the quality and performance, resulting in higher energy efficiency, perfect tightness, durability and easy installation.
In this model, the handle has also been placed at the bottom of the sash, so the windows can be installed slightly higher and access will still be easy. As with the above system, a 180-degree locking sash bolt is also used here, and a wide range of flashings allows such a window to be installed in virtually any roofing material.
Triple-glazed pivot windows
This is one of the most functional and popular window solutions available from FAKRO. The hinge at the sash’s mid-height allows free rotation, and the handle at the bottom of the sash (similar to the models discussed earlier) ensures ease of operation. FAKRO triple-glazed pivot windows are made of high-quality pine laminated timber, which is vacuum-impregnated. These windows offer two degrees of micro-tilt, and their installation range is from 15 to 90 degrees.
The triple-glazed pivot windows are distinguished by several advanced features, such as the V40P automatic ventilator, which effectively reduces excess moisture in the rooms for optimum ventilation, thermoPro technology, which increases the energy efficiency, durability and tightness of the windows, as well as simplifying their installation. Another thing to mention is the option of fitting an electric control roof windows, which allows you to conveniently manage the opening and closing of the window via a remote system even when you are not at home.
Solar-type roof window
Solar-type roof windows are one of the newer and most innovative solutions proposed by FAKRO. Such a window is controlled by a ZRH12 remote control fitted as standard with a solar panel and a magnetic sensor, detecting the window’s opening. In addition, the window operates in the Z-Wave wireless data transmission protocol.
The entire mechanism is located behind an aesthetically pleasing blind, which is installed in the lower part of the frame so that it does not interfere with the use of the window and ensures aesthetics.
Also included is the ZRD rain sensor, which can automatically close the sash when rainfall is detected. The window is made of pine wood and is additionally vacuum-impregnated. Like the previous solutions, here, too, a hinge placed halfway up the window is used, which allows the sash to be rotated and left in the open position, as well as ThermoPro technology, increasing the quality of the window and its thermal insulation parameters.
FAKRO has equipped its windows with Wave wireless contact
One of the greatest innovations is equipping FAKRO windows with the Z-Wave radio communication system. Thanks to this, you can remotely control the windows in your home or office, even when you are on the other side of the world!
Currently, there are over 200 manufacturers associated with the Z-Wave system. Therefore, using just one network, you can connect and control windows and roller blinds at home and lighting, alarms, computers or air-conditioning. What is important – each FAKRO electrical device contains its own electronic module with a Z-Wave chip, making it possible to create wireless networks and control devices using a Z-Wave module using a smartphone. So, as you can see the future is today! You can also read more about this solution at https://www.fakro.co.uk/products/all-products/electric-control/.
