Home is Where the Wool is
By Jo Phillips
The Woolmark Company woos wool and has ‘unveiled the potentials of Merino wool in the furnishing sector’ with its new project, The Wool Lab Interiors. Beyond being known as the soft, warm, fluffy winter staple, Merino wool is indeed a resilient material with untold scientifically-proven benefits, such as moisture absorption, flame resistance, sound and heat insulation, eco-sustainability, etc.
In partnership with Wallpaper* Magazine, eight international designers showcase their personal interpretation of a woolly home sweet home whether as a material for bedding, floor, interior textiles, accessories and insulating materials at this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan.
