Reinventing the Movie Wheel: King’s Cross in Vivid Bloom

Everyday Road Movies is doing a twelve-day pit stop at King’s Cross Filling Station (KXFS). The former petrol station will play host to some of the most virulent thrilling and iconic road trip movies of the 20th century.

Launched in 2012, KXFS plays a large role in the reformation of King’s Cross into one of London’s most innovative and intriguing districts. Taking over a disused BP garage site, it now takes its place as a landmark space with a forward-thinking cultural program and al fresco drinking and dining. Designed by award-winning architects Carmody Groarke, KXFS bar will re-launch with a brand new menu, as well as Prosecco on tap and frozen Margaritas, right after Everyman Road Movies in May.

Everyman Group is a chain of premium cinemas across London and the South East. Beginning in 1993 they have expanded over the years, pioneering the resurgence of independent cinema. They offer a varied multitude of films from mainstream to independent and their coming visit to KXFS is no different.

Under an old forecourt canopy, tucked in with headphones and blankets, one can be transported back to 1960s California with Easy Rider. Or if you prefer you road trips a touch more modern, settle down to 90s classics like Natural Born Killers and My Own Private Idaho all without ever leaving your London seat.

To nourish you on your American journey Everyman’s bar will be fully stocked with hotdogs, beer, wine and cocktails.
