Linear: Horizon in a Room

Imagine entering a room. A room simply constructed with concrete that appears seemingly like any other, yet there are no corners in sight. What comes in vision is a vast horizon that extends from one side of the eye sight to the other. This is precisely what one experiences at Ricci Albenda’s latest single-work installation entitled ‘Untitled’. Known for his large scale work which plays with trompe l’oeil, Untitled is a simple experiment that disrupts the viewer’s relationship with the absolutely level horizon by tilting the horizon line slightly. Thus, creating a uniquely bewildering visual wonder for visitors.
