Imagine a French black-and-white film packed with the right balance of romance and dilemma – now imagine the perfect soundtrack for this movie – need help? It’s definitely Sébastien Tellier’s new album “Confection” – a collection of 14 songs, each one shining with its unique charm and the profound harmony we enjoy so much in Sébastien’s music.

Sébastien Tellier does not simply rely on his usual arrangements for this album. Those of you, who happen to know the Parisian’s earlier records will recognize his new approach in “Confection”. While listeners still get the dearly beloved orchestral tunes, we get to hear synth-pop songs and jazzy elements here and there – especially “Waltz” sounds like an intermission within the album, giving you a change when you least expected it.

Moreover, Sébastien has reunited with numerous artists from his past – including Tony Allen, Emmanuel d’Orlando and Philippe Zdar, who was responsible for mixing the record. So if you’re looking for the perfect Sunday afternoon soundtrack – I highly recommend you to give “Confection” a spin and convince yourself of Tellier’s newest masterpiece.

The bearded singer has also created a music video for song “Coco”, which you can watch below.
