Mineral; Cinema for Pets
By Jo Phillips
With the festive season fast approaching, there are many things to do with the whole family. With special Christmas markets, holiday parties and walking around London’s many parks – we seldom remember one member of most families, our pets. Coming this winter is an Ethical Christmas Market, that hosts a film festival welcoming children, adults and paws of all kinds.
Under one roof, visitors will be able to engage with eminent animal charities, expert animal documentary filmmakers and specialist vegan traders from the UK. Everything will be for a cause, and 100% of box office return will Animal Free Research, Free Research UK and the Farm Animal Sanctuary.
“Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help shall all be saved” – Jane Goodall (British primatologist and UN Messenger of peace)
The festival will hold talks that discuss animal testing, veganism and animal cruelty. Emily James from Animal Free Research UK and Isobel Hutchinson from Animal Aid will be hosting talks at the event. Screen4Paws Ltd. is a non profit organisation that organises screening and festivals in order to raise awareness about the issues related to animal cause and wildlife conservation.
Obviously, this festival isn’t only catered to animal owners, but any animal lovers of any kind. The event will be from the 9th of December, at the Chelsea Old Town Hall in London.
