From “Out of Touch, In the Wild” the Dutch Uncles present their next single “Nometo”, which is set to be released on 12 August. The song is said to be one of the highlights of the five-piece band’s most recent album – and we agree.

The indie rock band from Marple has already released their third studio album, following their earlier releases “Dutch Uncles” and “Cadenza”. With their newest single addition “Nometo” Dutch Uncles really proof the huge variety of sounds indie pop brings along and present music that just never gets boring. The words ‘repetition’ and ‘monotony’ seem to be missing in the vocabulary of these five artists.

According to lead singer Duncan Wallis, the song was written in Berlin and has an fascinating background idea:

“…the thought of all the Leonard Cohen songs I’ve never heard. Imagining his voice, of an old man returning to an old habit one last time, and the bitterness and regret he laments under his hat.”
