Sometimes to find the treasure that leads to a historical vestige you just need to be interested in the culture of the country. Such as the Italian Maison Bulgari’s fragrance collection, entitled BVLGARI ALLEGRA which takes you to Italy. Well, if you wish to be mysterious, seductive, full of passion and extravagant, find more here in All Scents Lead to Rome.

The Italian Maison BVLGARI debuted a bold fragrance concept with the inspiration coming from the house’s history. In early 2021, Bvlgari Allegra was born. Produced to take you on a vivid Italian escape with unique fragrances designed to be personalized with an extra Magnifying Essence. Initially, 5 key perfumes were created alongside one magnifying base perfume.

Founded in Rome in 1884 by the talented Greek silversmith Sotirio Bulgari, the brand quickly established a reputation for Italian excellence with exquisite craftsmanship and magnificent jewellery creations, that paid homage to the Roman roots of the company.

In the early 1990s came the brand’s very first fragrance, Eau Parfumée au Thé Vert, combined with calm and delicate aromas of green tea and citrus. The fragrance nose was Jean Claude Ellena.

For this occasion, the brand collaborates with another master perfumer Jacques Cavallier to create this Italian story

He takes his inspiration from his own Heritage, Italy:

“I was totally inspired by the Italian soul (…). It’s 3,000, 4,000 years of History, and it goes back to roots that are very deep but still extremely modern because they are values that have gone through the centuries and history (…) All roads lead to Rome, all magnificent raw materials lead to Rome, all perfumes lead to Rome.”

Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier.

Jacques Cavallier

He developed a lifelong passion for scents because his hometown is located in the epicentre of perfumery, Grasse.

Always lulled by the multiple scents around him, in this world capital of perfume in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France, he brings to Bulgari a boundless, sophisticated and precious dedication with Bulgari’s visionary expertise.

Jacques Cavallier links in every Bvlgari Allegra scent, singular and irresistible tones of Italy. Influenced by the sparkling Mediterranean Sea and by the distinctive Roman sunset alongside daring Italian style.

This season explore three new scents that have arrived expressing the joys of Italy’s life.

The new product line is concentrated on three fragrances; the enchantment Spettacolore, the passion Baciami, and the mysterious seduction Magnifying Myrrh Essence.

Meet the first one, entitled Spettacolore, inspired by the most enchanting Italian celebrations, a splendid spectacle of fireworks and lights brightens called the ‘Festa Della Luce’ which means Festival of Lights, in Puglia, Italy.

The history comes from the Romans, they used to light fires to illuminate the night from dusk till dawn. Today, this ancient Roman ritual has been immortalized in this magnificent festival. A magical evening full of unique moments inspired the perfume.

This is a rare scent that contrasts light against darkness. Composed with Iris, a rich floral, powdery, earthy, note, and creamy with an add of citrus accents.

Next up, over-powering love. With a scent of pure romance, made in Italy. Meet, ‘Baciami’ which means Kiss me, an elixir blended of wellspring floral ambery notes such as gardenia, and embraced by a tempting vanilla addictive aromatic tone.

Made in Verona, where two stories embody those electrifying Italian deep romances, love stories such as the balcony scene of the legendary star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet, and the fateful meeting between Dante and his muse Beatrice.

And finally, with a touch of mystery and seduction, meet Myrrh Essence. An emblematic ingredient, native to Africa and sacred incense from many civilisations, Greeks, Egyptians, Persians, and Romans; all glorified this scent as valuable as gold.

The key to its head-spinning mysterious glamour? Composed of two extreme extractions, a sumptuous white amber balm luminous and fruity liquorice. The fragrance can be exclusively mixed with other fragrances from the Bulgari Allegra collection, to give more joyful brightness.

For the Bulgari Allegra Eau de Parfum 100 ml and 50ml bottles are made of glass which reflects the typical jewellery colour of the house; With a bold design, an expression of Bulgari as a jeweller.

Bulgari Allegra’s bottle may remind us of our childhood; looking somewhat like wrapped boiled sweets translucent, crystal butterflies that appear as clear and lucid colours. Well, Isn’t it fascinating to associate a bottle of perfume from different with sweeties? A meeting almost of smelling and taste.

Each bottle awakens the colour and joyous emotions of the Italian lifestyle while leading into a unique olfactive journey. This brand and its collaboration with the master perfumer Jacques Cavallier created the scents of Italy.
