Tony Nourmand, co-founder of RealArtPress, presents his collection of 100 Movie Posters for the first time in a hardcover collection. Besides a thorough introduction by cultural historian Professor Sir Christopher Frayling, all covered images will be accompanied by Nourmand’s personal commentary to give a better insight to the creation of each piece.
Movie fans will find classic imagery to 100 years of film history, featuring ‘King Kong’, ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’, James Bond classic “Goldfinger”, or iconic pieces by Kubrick, such as ‘The Shining’. The book will also feature one of the most expensive posters, that of ‘Metropolis’ – fetching $650.000 in total.
The collection serves as a perfect example for the relationship between art and advertisement and brings back memories from a century of movie history.
“100 Movie Posters: The Essential Collection” can be pre-ordered at ReelArtPress and will be available from 31 July 2013 on (£29.95).
