Bold: Capturing the Essence of Yamamoto.

How do you capture the essence of a Yamamoto woman in a perfume?

For me, a woman who is strong yet subtle at the same time is essentially more seductive.  The more she hides and abandons her femininity, the more it emerges from the very heart of her existence.Yohji Yamamoto

Capturing the essence of what it is to be a Yamamoto woman (Senses) or man (Homme) in a bottle is the latest offering from Yohji Yamamoto. A range of scents for men and women have been released and have the Yamamoto stamp of understated, Japanese design captured not only in the perfume but even in the detail of the beautiful origami inspired flowering box.

The perfumes were originally created in the 90s but were not released at the time due to licensing issues with the brand. The female Yohji Senses is however a brand new scent and has been described as evoking the thrill of a long and lingering summer day. With the top notes of Bergamot, Lemon and Neroli over base notes of Musk and Sandalwood it’s certainly not difficult to conjure up an olfactory picture as to why.

The full range has been released for June and are available to buy at Selfridges.
