There is something so simple about a sunny day that brings joy and smiling faces. But why? We’re used to hearing about how too much of the sun can be harmful to your skin. But the right balance can have lots of mood-lifting benefits.

Exposure to sunlight is thought to increase the brain’s release of the hormone serotonin. Serotonin is a mood-boosting hormone helping a person feel calm and focused. At night, darker lighting triggers the brain to make another hormone called melatonin. This hormone is responsible for helping you sleep.

So when we don’t get enough sun serotonin levels can dip. Low levels of serotonin are associated with depression with seasonal patterns (SAD).

Another simple idea is simple that is more likely we will be put and about not sitting inside dark houses sith dry heating systems on full blast.

So remember the sun black and also the post-sun treatments like Pixy skintreats.
