“I’m delighted to collaborate with
Molton Brown. Growing up in The Snowdonia National Park, I’m grateful for a childhood rich with plants and wildflowers. Working with Molton Brown’s nature-inspired fragrances has challenged my artistic practice to grow in new, unexpected directions. It’s wonderful that such an iconic brand supports craft and local artists.”
Elin Hughes
Inspired by historical British pottery and grounded in
Elin’s signature style of playful improvisation, she has individually designed each holder in her North Wales studio using carefully selected Staffordshire clay. Hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel, these distorted vessels of scalloped arcs and looping tendrils “ripple, swirl and pull apart as an embodiment of growth”. Each piece heroes the different characters of their cult fragrances, while the glossy glaze pays homage to the collections’ colours.
Orange & Bergamot, is wrapped in a soft caramel glaze Delicious Rhubarb,& Rose, of course, sits in a dusty pink container whilst Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel is contained within a petrol green-blue glazed holder.
