“One of the most politically trenchant, culturally influential, and innovative artists of the 20th century” is about to celebrate his 100th Birthday on the 5th February this year. William S Burroughs was the celebrated cult writer and artist in many mediums. He changed the course of literature with his writing and ideas, and shaped a new direction in film and music with his innovative multi-media collaborations.

To commemorate his lifetime achievements and his legacy, a one-off immersive event named after his metaphorical stateless city of ‘Interzone’ is organised by Guerilla Zoo. The experiential event brings Burroughs’ fantasy to life with a recreation of ‘Burroughs-inspired sprawling 360 degree city’ combining a promenade theatre, music, performances art, films and art installations. Experience the strange, seedy, surreal, sprawling sphere of Interzone. Explore its market place and walk amongst a crowd of Burroughsian characters such as magikal & alien creatures, crews of ‘Wild Boys,’ decadent artists, gun-runners, government agents, criminals, artists, drug smugglers, and tax-evading tycoons. This event promises to be an otherworldly experience that is unforgettable.

Guerrilla Zoo’s experiential event Interzone takes places on Friday, 7th Febuary 2014 from 8 pm to 3 am at a secret location. For more information, visit Guerrilla Zoo.
