Giuseppe Zanotti and the Rakish Look
By Jo Phillips
Embodying the spirit of luxurious Italian fashion, the brand Giuseppe Zanotti is famed for its quality craftsmanship and design. Although now known worldwide, Zanotti the man first officially appeared on the fashion scene in 1994 when he showed his debut footwear collection in New York; a surprisingly recent introduction. Since then, the designer has captivated us with his modern approach to opulence. In wearing Giuseppe Zanotti, the wearer automatically exudes sex appeal and classic European confidence.
Although shoppers in London may already be accustomed to Zanotti’s designs (until now, the city has boasted TWO Giuseppe Zanotti stores), a new flagship shop has opened on 46 Conduit Street. Located in, and occupying the entirety of, a three story Georgian Grade II building, the store has 2,300 square feet of selling space, providing the shopper with comfort and beauty. Along with housing the brand’s signature footwear, the store additionally sells bags, ready-to-wear collections, jewellery, a bridal collection and the ‘Giuseppe Junior’ collection, a new addition to the brand’s prestigious portfolio.
Commenting on the success of his other London stores, Zanotti praises the brand’s European growth, saying it has ‘exceeded expectations and reinforced our view about the potential of our brand in the UK.’
As well as being found in London’s Harrods and Selfridges, the brand also has stores on 49 Sloane Street and 27 Lowndes Street. Zanotti’s other European stores include ones in St Tropez, Milan, Monte Carlo and Moscow.
