By Jo Phillips

Can you be a hero and a villain all at the same time? A working man yet a hero to be adored? This Ying-Yang can be interpreted in scent, think the deep dark raw masculine sexiness of Oud set against the soft green of spicy Cardamom. Throw in some Honey and Hay alongside Saffron, Geranium and other delicious notes. If this sounds like an ancient recipe, you could just be right. What about one that relates to the Roman art of the Gladiator?? Find out more here is Gladiator, the Heroic Scent

A gladiator the term comes from the Latin word “swordsman”, the heroic figure seen in many a Hollywood epic; the hero of the piece. All bruan with a heart. An armed combatant who entertained audiences in the Roman Empire in often violent confrontations. Presented, as the hero of the day, entertaining the hordes, courageous warriors who dominated and entertained in the Colosseum of Rome.

Some gladiators were volunteers who risked their lives and their legal and social standing by appearing in the arena. but most were slaves or commoners who lived and died under harsh conditions.

Yet as we look back with rose-tinted glasses we see the genuine hero, the man to stand for what he believes in, muscled wild and free. It’s this energy booked with a sense of history, that is really the idea behind Scent brand Electimuss’ latest elixir

Created by super talented perfumer Julian Rasquinet Gladiator Oud is a luxurious, elegance smokey deep divinely indulgent and addictive fragrance.

Absolutely Inspired by the famed Gladiators of Ancient Rome and courageous warriors its base is a powerful and unusual accord of salty, elemental ambergris. Giving a powerful explosion with underlying raw sexuality. Oud oil and Cedarwood add more power, nobility and elegance to the arena, with Patchouli Oil and Vetiver bringing ‘rooty’ depth.

In its hardened but loving heart, full of knowledge skill and wisdom, comes of course, ancient Honey accord alongside long-standing perfume favourite Geranium oil from the heat of Egypt, alongside the syrupy burnt sugar, with a hint of smoked woods and tobacco via Immortelle and a soft brush of Hay.

It opens with the softest ‘punch’ of Saffron Accord with divinely warm spicy Cumin Seed Oil, a reminder of the heat of the action; the warmth of the earth below the leather-sandaled noble warrior.

This unisex spicey amber with Oud explodes onto the skin with the dignity only a Roman Hero can.
