July:Mirror Mirror on the..everything

SS14 collections are certainly keeping the magpies happy.. Metallics, sequins and embellishment all showing predominently. The big collections that worked the trends are Ashish, King of the sequin, Christopher Kane, Tom Ford and Simone Rocha.

Here are some our favourite looks from the designers.

Lots of fun was had with this collection , even the humble plastic carrier bag received the midas touch.  Sequins, ripped denim and sparkle reigned and the standard english highstreet wear was picked up and rolled in glitter.. literally!

Christopher Kane is a master of working with tech fabrics and colours and the metallics in his collection were stunning. Metallic fabrics with a spray can paint effect and sequins embroidered onto flowers… what is there not love about this collection.

Simone Rocha continues to go from strength to strength and used metallics in her SS14 collection continuing the shiny, mirror theme for July.  Here are some of the key pieces.

Tom Ford has to have the finale on this post as this dress is literally embellished with mirrored pieces.  This dress reflects, shines and radiates serious glamour.
