Wednesday 7th of November saw the opening of the Bella Freud pop up shop at Fenwick of Bond street in central London. The pop up store will take a month long residency on the 3rd floor of the Bond Street shop.  It’s a curated lifestyle space, recreating the key elements from Bella Freud’s Chiltern Street store with bespoke brass rails, custom dyed velvet Richelieu carpets and a cube Saratoga Lounge chair by Massimo Vignelli amongst the many features. There will also be a presence in the windows of the London department store, with monitors playing  films from the brand’s archive starring the likes of Abbey Lee Kershaw, Laura Bailey and and 80’s model icon Susie Bick.

Showcasing the Autumn Winter 2016 knitwear collection and key tailored pieces of ready-to-wear, the entire perfume and candle collection will also be available from the space. Fenwick of Bond Street will be launching the new ‘Close to My Heart’ scent exclusively with the opening of the space. Tuberose Absolute at the heart of the perfume  notes of Neroli. Rose de Mai and Jasmine followed by  base notes of Patchouli, Moss, Sandalwood, Black Musk and Oud.

Alongside the new fragrance, Fenwick of Bond Street offers Bella Freud’s ‘Close to My Heart’ cashmere crew neck knit in the exclusive red colourway, complete with an intarsia heart on the sleeve.

Bella Freud  based fashion designer is renowned for her graphic knits featuring the words Ginsberg is God, Je t’aime Jane and 1970  alongside  a range of perfume and scented candles inspired by her signature sweaters She has made eight short films, three with John Malkovich .
