Masque Tissé sheet face masks

Masque Tissé – sheet face masks to you and me – are visually a bit scary to moi because I think I watched too many black and white mummy horror movies as a child. These face masks un-nerve me so much I pop on a little red lipstick although I’m not sure that softens the visual but at least I ‘feel’ more myself.  That’s enough about me and my traumas; let’s look at the benefits of these very cold and wet Masque Tissé.

However, the common denominator amongst them all is the material silk. This was due to its natural delicate nonabrasive quality. Deemed the purist material to absorb liquids infused with nourishing ingredients.  An assortment of materials have been developed since, from cotton derived to tencel to foil as technology has moved on.

As to my former question ‘why masque tissé/sheet face masks’? well, there’s little waste once a sheet mask rests on the face. It creates a barrier between the skin and the environment; preventing all the goodness from evaporating, making the whole regime very effective. Once you get over the shock of the very cold and wet material they are enjoyable. Don’t waste any of the goodness, your encouraged not wash off any residue … simply massage in and carry on with your day.
