News: An Exhibition at E.Tautz
By Jo Phillips
In the midst of Fashion Month, Patrick Grant of British fashion brand E.Tautz has collaborated with illustrator Ferry Gouw to create ‘Coasters’, an exhibition celebrating the AW16 E.Tautz collection.
The exhibition, consisting of seven illustrations and an installation, will be held at the flagship Duke Street store. The collection is inspired by Grant’s childhood spent at roller discos in Edinburgh.
Ferry Gouw who is known as Major Lazer’s art director commented that, “the illustrations take inspiration from the intriguing narrative of the E. Tautz AW16 collection itself, which was guys in smart, tailored, but loose outfits power dressing to go to a roller disco in the 80s, listening to electro music. Therefore, I wanted to turn the showroom, in theory, into a roller disco. So we have illustrations of these guys, all going in one direction round and round the room.”
The exhibition will be available to view throughout Autumn/Winter season as will all illustrations be available to purchase. The exhibition starts on 14th September 2016. E.Tautz is available online here.
